Epilogue

Four years later, they're still going strong. As with every relationship, Lauren and Dinah had their fair share of ups and downs. It took a while for them to come out to the public. It wasn't that they didn't want to, but it was tough for Lauren to accept that she was going to be publicly dating a band member. Dinah was nothing but supportive. When they finally decided to make it public, they did it on Ellen's show several months later.

On their one year anniversary of being together, they were happier than they could remember. They were in love. Lauren never thought that she would fall in love with another woman, but when she did, it was as if she couldn't see it happening any other way. Dinah felt more than blessed to have gotten the chance to be on X-Factor, because she was sure that if it wasn't for the show, she would have never met Lauren.

On their two year anniversary, Dinah got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry her. Fifth Harmony wasn't doing well at the time. None of them really knew what was going to happen next, and everyone was on edge. However, the minute Dinah told the other girls that she was planning on proposing, the focus shifted to that. Lauren was a little confused when Dinah told her they'd be going to London. It was a place that held memories for them, sure, but she didn't see why they'd be randomly going back. Dinah wanted it to be special, so she proposed in the same spot where she and Lauren had officially become a couple up on the London Eye.

Six months later, on a beach in Hawaii, Lauren and Dinah said their I Do's. Neither girl wanted a large wedding, so the had a small ceremony with their families, the girls in Fifth Harmony, and a few other close friends that they couldn't not invite. Lauren was surprised when she walked down the aisle in her mermaid style wedding dress to see Dinah standing there in a perfectly tailored white suit. Everything about that day was perfect. It was above and beyond what either of them could have dreamed of it being.

The day that marked their three year anniversary of being together as a couple, they started talking about a beginning a family. Fifth Harmony broke up about five months before. Ally was focusing on living a regular life with Troy and enrolled in college, Camila went solo, and that left Normani, Dinah, and Lauren with nothing. All three girls had found it hard to get regular jobs without their fans making it more difficult. A month after Fifth Harmony broke up, they were offered a record deal from Safehouse Records as a trio. They were hesitant, but they accepted, and had started to work on getting music made. Things had been going well for the months after they accepted, and Dinah felt like something was missing. She had Lauren, she had the group. She wanted a baby. She had been worried that it wasn't the right time, but Lauren pointed out to her that whether they found a sperm donor, surrogate, or adopted, it wouldn't happen right away. The green eyed girl no longer felt miserable when thinking about her miscarriage years before. It was sad, but she knew that it had to have happened for a reason. She accepted it.

They knew they wanted to carry the children they would have, themselves. A month after they talked about having a baby, they found out that Dinah's uterus was an inhospitable place for an egg to implant and grow into a baby. Both women were a little devastated. They didn't see it coming. That night, Dinah held an emotional Lauren in her arms. Lauren was going to carry the baby, or she would at least try to. It scared her to no end that she might lose another baby. She wanted to do it. She wanted to be able to do it, and she was going to do what she could.

A year later, Normani, Dinah, and Lauren had released an EP. The three of them did a small tour, and began to work on a full length album.

The three girls sat on the edge of the tub in the bathroom of Normani's apartment. A set of green eyes and two sets of brown eyes were locked on the pregnancy test on the counter. The timer on Lauren's phone went off, and she felt her stomach twist into a knot. She didn't doubt that she was pregnant. She'd been experiencing the symptoms she had dealt with before. All she needed was confirmation, and she got it.

"Babe, you're.."

"I know."

"I'm so happy for you two. And I'm here every step of the way. Dinah and I are going to be on your ass all the time to make sure that nothing goes wrong, hope you're cool with that. If not, too bad for you 'cause it'll happen anyway," Normani told them.

This was going to be different. They weren't on a tour right now. They were writing songs, recording, and making small appearances here and there on talk shows or radio stations. Things seemed calmer now than they had when she had become pregnant at eighteen. She was an adult, a married adult, and she knew that it was going to be hard. But it was going to be worth it.

a/n: It took me a long time to write this, and I apologize. However, with this being up now, I can start getting the sequel under way. Based on this part, you can see that it's taking place a few years later, they're starting a family, and they're still making music, just not as Fifth Harmony. I hope that it'll get a good response, because I can envision it in my head and it's likely going to be lighter, less angst for the most part. Things will be happier.

I want to thank you all for the incredible response I've gotten on this fic. I started it with the assumption that it would get a couple of reads, and then it would flop. That definitely wasn't the case, and it's all thanks to you lovely readers.

So, I hope you'll keep your eyes peeled for the sequel (that has yet to be named), and I hope that you've enjoyed this story.
