EPISODE 06 : THE CHEF & THE CHORE BOY
( Star Struck )

HAULING ZORO OFF of the floor and into the Going Merry is hard enough without the weight in Estrella's limbs and the bags pulling her face into a downward stretch.

The pirate hunter is heavy - It takes all four of the crew to hoist him gently onto the kitchen island. They don't have enough time to haul him onto a bed.

Zoro bleeds faster than the weakening rise and fall of his chest, heartbeat growing duller with every passing second.

"Easy, don't drop him!" Nami snaps as Usopp adjusts his grip beneath the unconscious man's armpits.

"I didn't! He's really heavy." Usopp complains, struggling to lift him onto the flat surface. "I mean, he's got a really big head. It's, like, freakishly big."

Estrella can't find it in herself to laugh at his ill-timed joke.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Nami replies, exasperation in her voice.

Estrella's mind is a mess. She feels as though she's forgotten something - A very important something, but she cannot remember.

The crimson flush of Zoro's wound invades her vision, and every time she blinks the scene plays out in her head; Mihawk, bearing his sword upon Zoro, his amber gaze searing a pit of lava through Estrella's empty stomach.

It all feels surreal.

"Someone needs to go back to Baratie." Nami orders as she tears apart Zoro's shirt to asses the injury.

Luffy looks disoriented. "Um, I'm not really hungry right now, Nami."

"Not for food." Nami looks positively murderous. "Maybe one of the customers is a ship's doctor!"

Estrella's fingers pause from their position on the hilt of her weapon. A Doctor.

Of course. Of course!

It takes little effort to gain her breath back. Estrella looks around at the crew's faces.

"Luffy, go get a doctor. In the meantime, I'll try to heal him." Estrella says, a determined glint returning to her unsure eyes.

The straw hat looks as though he wants to say something in response, but Nami shoves him out the door and he disappears without another word.

"What are you doing?!" Nami yells as Estrella starts removing her gloves, placing her bare palms against Zoro's injured chest.

The brunette lets out a shaky exhale. Her veins pulse dangerously, and she has to grit her teeth in order to ignore the searing pain that begins burning its way through her skin.

"I can't let him die," Estrella says through her teeth, and Nami's look of shock dissolves into something more . . . Human. Like a stray puppy that has been kicked one too many times.
