EPISODE 01 : ROMANCE DAWN ( Return Of The Suneater )
PENNILESS AND STOMACHS full, the three departed from the pub before the sun set against the horizon.
By the time the moon was shining against the dark skies, Estrella, Luffy, and Koby were laying down on the floor of their docked ship, staring up at the stars.
"I can't stop thinking about that fight." Koby says out loud, and Estrella opens one eye to look at the chore boy.
"That guy was amazing." Luffy adds in, hands situated on his stomach. The woman can feel his bony elbow digging into her shoulder, but doesn't say anything about it, too tired to even bother.
"And what's with the third sword? I mean, where does it even go?" The straw hat wonders, and Estrella thinks for a moment, the question lingering in her mind. She gives up when she realizes she doesn't have an answer.
"No." Koby shakes his head, as though Luffy didn't understand. "He had to protect that little girl from the Marines, who were supposed to be protecting her. It doesn't make any sense."
"If there are good pirates and bad pirates, then there are gonna be good Marines and bad Marines too." Luffy says gently, and he turns to look at Koby. "You'll be one of the good ones."
"Maybe Alvida was right." The ex-chore boy mutters, his chest rising and falling as he sighs deeply. "I don't know anything about the world."
"So, what, you'd rather live as her prisoner?" Estrella asks, pausing her star-counting to look over at both of them.
"No!" Koby denies quickly. "I'm just saying, at least then, I knew who I was. Now I have no idea."
"Well, start thinking then." Estrella hums, staring at the pink haired man. She's never been one for comforting people. "About what you are."
"Koby." Luffy gets up from the boat, obstructing Estrella's vision of Koby. "I need to get into the base and find that map, and I could use some help."
The pink haired man looks at Luffy incredulously. "You want me to help you steal from the Marines?"
The straw hat shakes his head. "No, of course not. That's why I have Estrella. How about you help me get the boat ready? You can handle that, right?"
Estrella ignores the mention of her name, turning her gaze once more to the starry skies.
"I guess so." She hears Koby's hesitant agreement. "What are you gonna do?"
Luffy smiles and pats the pink haired man on the shoulder. "I'm working on that."
