My leg bounces up and down. Maddox couldn't get off work, which makes sense because he hadn't been there in months. So here I am with Easton and Angelo sitting in front of a private school. It was a bit bigger than I had expected it to be. It also had all these fancy buildings and things like that.
"C'mon sweetheart. It'll be easy and we're right here," East says.
I'm still not too sure but I trust him. I get out and stand between the two of them.
"If you don't like it you don't have to go," Angelo says.
I nod. This wasn't going to be too bad. At least they were coming with me.
"Plus I'll buy us ice cream after," he adds.
"I think he means he'll take my credit card and buy your ice cream with that," Easton teases.
Angelo shrugs. I imagine that was his plan.
As we get closer to the door I shift slower to East and grab his hand. He squeezes it and we keep walking towards the door.
It's really nice inside. There's even a little vase of flowers. Easton and Angelo lead us to a desk up front. They get us all signed in and fill out some long boring papers about me. Then a nice looking girl comes out to get us.
"Grace?"
I nod and we all get up.
"I'm Selena. I'm currently a senior here. I've been here for all of high school and i'll be showing you around."
Selena takes us through the whole school. She shows me all the classrooms I would be in and all the places I would have to go. She was really nice. Nicer than a lot of people in my school. She also said that I wouldn't been too far behind. I was glad i'd spend so much time practicing my reading like they'd told me to. I would hate to start somewhere new and be eons behind everyone else.
After we finished up the tour Selena gave me a little folder filled with papers.
"If you have any questions my email is also on there!" she says before she waves at us and leaves.
"What did you think?" East asks as we walk out.
"It was nice. There's a lot of stuff there," I say.
I didn't really have too many opinions on it yet. Although anything would probably be better than where I am now.
Angelo keeps his promise and takes me to get some ice cream with Easton's card. I don't think he minded though. I saw him take a few bites of Ang's ice cream anyway.
As East drives us home I think maybe private school wouldn't be so bad.
I chatter away with Angelo for most of the ride home. Apparently him and Luci have to go home to Italy but only for a few days. He promises me that he'll be at our party. I make him pinky promise just to be sure. I liked having him around.
When we get home there aren't very many people here. I knew Maddox was still at work, but I expected Sylas and Brandon to be here. I checked everywhere for them, but they were out. I also popped by the guest room to say hi to Luci who was packing. Milo was passed out in bed and I couldn't blame him. He was usually sleeping though so that was pretty normal.
I texted Sy to see where he was.
Me: where are you???????
Sy💜: went into help mads. brandon is here too don't worry.
Me: oh okay. come home soon
Sy💜: of course princess. i'll bring you some donuts.
I smile. I did like donuts.
