Dear Reader,
They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, but on the 1st of August, 2023, it almost felt like a big blunder as there were people I struggled to remember. Don't get me wrong, distance does make the heart grow fonder, but communication helps us not to forget each other. If distance was capable of making bonds grow stronger, then it could also cause people to drift apart forever.
On the 1st of August, 2023, I harbored resentment towards her. Most of my relationships had officially ended because of her, and I did not like that. I did not like my happier, as I was forgetting important characters. Communication worked when two people were trying together, so I guess distance separated us forever because I stopped trying to hold us together.
Our kind of distance made forgetting easier as I could not see you, hear your voice, or your laughter. I had to close our chapter without writing, "And they lived happily ever after".
Dear Reader, on the 1st of August, 2023, I resented her because forever, she stole relationships that used to matter.
