This year, we received many excellent applications from talented individuals and only had the opportunity to admit a select few students." I read the message out loud to my best friend on FaceTime

"So did you make it?" He asks

"Are you fucking stupid?" I ask

"Yes." He responds

"I can tell" I say

"Okay but did you?" He asks

"Are you being deadass?" I ask

"Yes" he says

"Yes, I did make dumbass" I say

"Yay! Maybe after college we can hang out or during college?" He says

"Duh Chars" I say

"Why do you get to nickname me but I don't have a nickname for you?" He asks

"Because you never gave me one" I say

"Your name is hard for a nickname!" He says

"Then use my initials!" I say

"Your initials are SN that's not a word!" He says

"That's only my first and last name!" I say

"Ohh yeah! Your middle name is Uma!" He says

"You think i don't know that?" I say

"Fuck off, so S-U-N..? Soon? Oh shit, wait, it's sun my bad" he says

I burst into laughter and finally say

"How did you mispronounce sun for soon"

"Man I don't know I was spelling in my head" he says

"Oh shit, gotta go, text you later, bye chars"

"Bye sun" he says

I'm super excited, this is the best college to play softball/baseball at and I just got accepted into it, I told Charlie I had to go because I remembered I have to do the paperwork for a scholarship

I go online and do it and it says it could take up to 3 months before I know if I got a scholarship

Sadly, I have to wait 6 months before Charlie goes to college with me

*3 months later*

I've been approved of a scholarship and I'm playing softball for my college

We do scrimmages against the baseball team all the time, it's really fun since nobody says anything like baseball/softball is harder and stuff

Even though it's a scrimmage, we do walk up songs, cheers, and have designated positions

There's this boy, his name is Collins, he super pretty, and is great at baseball, I've never talked to him personally, but, he seems like a great guy

I love that name, it's so pretty

"She looks like she could hit a bomb, probably on scholarship" I say to myself

"Get ready" I say to myself again

Short stop is not the position to be messing around

They repeat that chant for a bit, honestly a great chant I love how that clap their hands while singing, it's just great

*CRACK*

I snap back into reality and see the ball going right in between 3rd base and me

I think I have just enough time to catch it

I dive for it and..
