"i'm so tired."

ahyoung flopped onto her bed, sinking into the memory foam mattress happily. after a long day of school, work, and cover-filming, it was nice to be able to rest. jeno chuckled at her actions, but also followed her similarly by lying down on the air mattress a few feet away from ahyoung's bed.

"well, probably wouldn't have been as tiring if you didn't insist on five outfit changes for your 'left & right' cover," jeno snorted.

"and because of that, showering has never felt better," ahyoung replied. "i'm glad tomorrow's friday and i can finally take a break from all of this stuff," she sighed happily until her happiness was interrupted with an unpleasant thought. "wait there's that fucking dinner tomorrow ugh..." she groaned.

"you'll be fine youngie," jeno assured her. "and if really goes wrong, call me."

"thanks," ahyoung sat up and looked at him. "wait, what time is it?"

"it's, uh..." jeno checked his phone. "uh, it's two in the morning," he said sheepishly.

"yeah we should probably sleep," ahyoung laughed softly. "goodnight nono."

"goodnight youngie."

"WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP GET YOUR ASS OFF YOUR BED AND--"

ahyoung groaned loudly at the sound of her alarm, which was actually a voice memo recorded by her older sister, hayoung, before she headed off to university. she frantically felt around her nightstand for her phone before finally finding it and shutting off her alarm. she groggily stood up and got out of bed and grabbed some clothes to change. after swapping from her pajamas to a white shirt with black lettering and leggings and doing her hair and a little makeup, ahyoung walked back into her room to see jeno awake and changed as well.

"ready?" ahyoung asked. jeno nodded in response and the two of them grabbed their things and headed downstairs.

the two best friends were greeted by the smell of kimchi fried rice as they walked into the kitchen. mrs. min was carefully scooping the rice into three containers as she noticed them walk in.

"i woke up a bit early today so i decided to cook lunch for you guys today," the woman explained.

ahyoung took the rice gratefully and placed it into a lunch bag. "thanks mom. this will be a lot better than whatever the cafeteria has in store."

"you can take one too jeno," mrs. min smiled. "just give ahyoung the container when you're done so she can take it home."

"thanks mrs. min," jeno replied happily, taking the rice and putting it in his bag.

"oh yeah, and ahyoung," mrs. min quickly added. "when you come home from work jiyoung and i probably won't be home. jiyoung's going to a friend's house after school and i have to help mrs. park plan for her fundraiser gala. we'll be back at around six forty five and dinner will be at around seven, okay? please don't mess up any of the things in the living room, dining room, and kitchen when you get home because i'm going to prepare everything beforehand."

"got it mom," the girl nodded.

ahyoung walked over to the fridge, opened the door, and pulled two apples out of the crisper. she tossed one to jeno and the two began heading for the front door.

"have a good day at school!" mrs. min called out.

"bye mom!"

"bye mrs. min!"

ahyoung and jeno walked out of the house and carefully closed the door behind them and locked it. after about a five minute walk, the duo made it to the bus stop, where the bus miraculously arrived at the same time as them. thankful that they didn't have to wait, ahyoung and jeno quickly made their way to the bus, scanning their transportations cards quickly before taking a seat.
