August surprisingly felt better once she helped Danny rehearse, in fact she actually enjoyed playing a character that was nothing like her, made her feel as if she was living another life that didn't consist with whatever situation she found herself in right now.

Though after an hour of pretending reality didn't exist, she had to return to her grim routine, one that incorporated hard classes that she didn't even know how she was passing, to cheer practices which included a lot of people that she didn't like, and lame student council meetings.

August Thompson was just living the life!

"Could he make it anymore obvious?" August inquired as she gazed at Alex who awkwardly approached Jackie.

Isaac followed her stare, finding Alex all flustered up while he attempted to start a conversation with the girl. "This is sick to watch." Isaac only said from beside her, shaking his head before he tore his eyes away. "I don't think I can look any long."

They never mentioned the events from earlier yet. The part where August gave off the idea to Gabby that she and him were together.

"Then don't." August scoffed. "At least Alex is capable of having feelings."

She put away her heavy books before simply shutting her locker, walking away to which he followed as he comprehended her words. "I do." He defended while he debriefed his history with different people. "They're just short-lived."

"Oh trust me, I know." August chuckled. Being a part of the cheer team had its perks when it came to knowing gossip and it just happens that Isaac Garcia was a big part of it. "I heard all about you."

"Oh really? Did you like what you heard?"

"Yup." She nodded her head sarcastically. "My favorite story was the one Veronica told me."

His face went white at her name causing August to gain a small smile while they ventured through the halls of numerous people, all of which were staring at her at one point which she pretended not to notice while she only continued. "She told me that-"

"Okay, okay." Isaac interrupted her. "Don't make me re-live that, please."

She put her hands up in defense while amusement danced amidst her eyes, not knowing that she was completely oblivious to the fact that all the Walters knew something she didn't. To her, Isaac was just another Cole in the making, being inconsiderate to the feelings of his many admirers as he continues to do what he does best: lead people on.
