Thanksgiving was right around the corner!
It was a time that would consist of stuffing yourself with more food than you can handle to stating things that you are grateful for regardless of all the terrible things going on. In all, it was a day dedicated to thanks and eating!
Until then however August Thompson still had time to complain about the multiple things she hated to the point where she couldn't even eat since she was so sick when thinking about it.
"Who the hell invented calc?" August groaned as she hit her notebook against her head, evidently done with the class as she sat in the chair at the far end of the lunch room.
"Well who the hell told you to take calc?" Isaac shot back. "You've been stressing about it for weeks."
"The voices in my head told me." She countered. "They said it would impress the guys."
Isaac gave her a look. "Impress the guys?"
"Yes." She nodded her head. "Are you impressed?"
Isaac tore away from her gaze before he would find himself admitting to it, now leaning back in his seat. "Not one bit."
"Then what will it take to impress you?"
August and Isaac were normal now, back to their accustomed bickering that contained hints of flirtatious remarks while continuing to fool everyone they were together. Truth be told it wasn't even supposed to last this long, homecoming was when it was initially planned that they break things off, but they never did.
There might've been a reason to since that day at the homecoming huddle, but of course, plans have changed when Gabby said all those things about August. Only resulting to August wanting to make her more mad.
The main reason why they hadn't ended things however was because August had forgotten all about that night: Will's opening night. If she did then they would've been over the moment they saw each other again after that.
Isaac had to deal with the consequences of knowing everything.
Well so did Cole since he was the only person Isaac can tell anything to considering he knew of their fake relationship.
