August Thompson was supposed to be done for the night.

After Mountain View she intended to go straight home and stay there, all tangled up in her mattress as she puts on some random Disney show to help her sleep since she could never rest in silence.

But to her dismay, she only accomplished one of those goals. She had made it home accompanied with some food that she sooner dropped off to her mom, and not shortly after that she was already in her pajamas, prepared to go to bed.

       Then she got a text.

That text led her to the Walter's residence.

And the guy who sent her that text was already sitting out in the front porch, as if he had been waiting for her this whole time, but the closer she neared him, she came to find that it was because he was smoking.

"You're not scared you're gonna get caught?" August inquired as she took a seat next to Cole who was staring out at the horizon before him.

He didn't really look over but he acknowledged her presence by handing her the cigar, one that she accepted. August didn't really smoke, she tried it once before with Isaac last year because they were curious and she absolutely hated it. It made her feel anxious.

Regardless of that fact, she had already been anxious enough these last few days to the point where she felt like she was absolutely loosing her mind, so there was no reason in denying it anymore. If she was going to go insane she might as well accept her fate.

"Why'd you text me?" August questioned.

Cole shrugged his shoulders, "I was bored."

"So you decided that I was the best company to keep?"

Cole wasn't in the laughing mood which indicated that he wasn't really having a good day, eventually causing August to hand back his cigarette before she leaned back on the chair with a sigh.

"Well, I'm tired of talking to everyone else." Cole simply muttered as he took a long inhale from the wrapper, "And I wanted to say sorry for getting you suspended."
