August walked into her house overwhelmed with several emotions she couldn't decipher all while wearing a familiar leather jacket that hadn't even been hers yet brought her the comfort that it was.

What wasn't expected amidst the mayhem that already surrounded her was the fact her mother was actually in good condition.

She was back to her regular self: All dressed up with a smile that was covered in lipstick.

"You're in a good mood." August shut the door with a grin, a small furrow coming to her eyebrow at the acknowledgment.

"It's a good day." Lorelei smiled.

A good day it was, also an incredibly confusing day.

"Oh sweetie you're all soaked." Her mother suddenly ran up to her and abandoning her place at the mirror that was hung up in the far right of their living room that she was using to look at herself. "What happened?"

"I uh." She attempted to come up with something reasonable but miserably failed. "Just decided to go on a swim."

"A swim?"

August nodded.

"With who?"

"I could've just wanted to go on a swim by myself, mom." August mumbled as she crossed her arms. "I don't need any company."

"You're right." The women put her hands up. "But during school hours and wearing a jacket that isn't even yours?"

August internally groaned. "Are you mad?"

"Not mad." Lorelei shook her head. "Just a bit confused as to when Jackson started wearing leather jackets."

       "He doesn't."

       "Oh."

       "Yeah."

       "Then who does?"

       "Isaac Garcia."

"Katherine's nephew?" Lorelei gaped. "Gosh I haven't talked to her for a good minute."
