Chapter 1

Bumanghalit ng tawa ang pinsan kong si Eury samantalang sarkastikong suminghal sa akin si Ellias na nasa aking tabi. They have been been replaying the video of Wess all over again as if they couldn't seem to over it.

Actually, si Eury lang.

"Seriously, Skylar Louise, after Van last week, you dumped someone again?" masungit na anas ni Ellias. Itinuro nito ang video at sumama ang mukha.

Nag-ikot ako ng mata at napabuntong hininga bago muling pinanood ang kalmadong dagat sa harapan namin.

Nasa school dapat kami ngayon pero dahil sa nangyari kanina, inaya ko na lang ang mga ito na mag cut ng class dahil hindi ako tantanan ng mga ususerong mga estudyante sa campus.

I also didn't kno na may nag-video pala ng nangyari kanina. And worse, it was posted on our school page. They have been pestering me ever since I left Wess in the field.

"Pinangatawanan mo talaga ang pagiging casanova princess, ano?" ngisi ni Eury sa harapan namin "Skylar Louise Saldua, the notorious heartbreaker at East International School. The Casanova Princess and the Temptress of the Saldua's."

Sumimangot ako sa mga pangalan binanggit nito.

"Excuse me, I was never any of that. It just happens that all the guys I've flirted with threatened to do romantic stuffs. And you know how much I dislike that."

Nakita ko agad kung paanong tumaas ang kilay ng dalawa sa akin bago natatawang ibinalik sa akin ni Eury ang telepono ko. Bumungad agad sa aking ang sunod-sunod na text messages galing kay Wess.

Suminghap ako at pinatay nalang iyon bago muling pinagtuunan ng pansin ang ice cream sa kamay ko.

"He's probably on his way with his knees on the ground just for you take him back, Sky." ngisi nito.

"I did nothing wrong, though. In fact, he should be thankful pa nga. At least now it's clear to him that I have nothing to offer more than flirting."

Ellias snatched the cup of ice cream from as he took a scoop to his mouth.

"At saka, hindi nga ba't ayaw mo kay Wess." singhal ko kay Ellias, then protruded my lips afterwards. "you shouldn't be nagging like that."

He rolled his eyes. "Who told you that I don't like him? It's you that I don't like for him."

Napanganga ako rito.

"Hm, but you know what I'm a bit curious. I've know Wess for a long time, and... sa tingin ko naman he's being genuine to you—"

Napaungol agad ako sa inis dahil sa narinig. "All the more reason why I had to that! That... that kind of love is scary. I don't think I'm capable of reciprocating that."

Matagal nila akong tiningnan na parang hindi nag ma-matter ang sinasabi ko. I rolled my eyeballs. Tumayo ako at sinuklay ang aking buhok gamit ang aking kamay. The two then, tailed me hanggang sa pare-parehas na naming binaybay ang tabing dagat habang nakapanood sa palubog na araw sa kanluran.

"And you both know I don't commit at all."

Pare-parehas kaming natahimik. Napabuntong hininga naman ako at wala sa sariling umirap na naman. Mamumuti ata ang aking mga mata.

"Where's the fun in that, anyway. Plus, as if ngayon lang 'to nangyari. I don't even know why you guys still have this same reaction whenever I'm dumping men."

"You can't blame us." saad ni Eury.

"I rejected those men simply because I don't want to commit at all. That's not my top priority as of now. And stop pressuring me, would you?"
