"This everything?" Demetri asks me as we look at the trunk of our black GMC pickup truck that seats five. Calanthe sent me and Demetri here to this suburban town and go to the hospital and get some suture kits, get all of the blood from the blood bank and as many saline bags as possible.

"Pretty sure" nodding my head, I then hear something "you hear that?" We look to one another before looking over seeing the exit door of the hospital open up "is that..."
"A human" Demetri closes the trunk and covers it with the cover we bought, this human has brown hair with facial hair, blue eyes and sand colored skin. He looks to be about five nine, maybe five ten. He is in a hospital gown. His gown is open showing he's in boxers and that he has this wrap around his midsection.
When he is before us, looking around confused he asks "What...what happened?"
Demetri and I share a look before I ask "How long have you been here?"
"I..." he looks around "I...I don't know. What's going on?"
"Long story short" clicking my tongue "the apocalypse"
His heart beats faster "How did you get that wound?" Demetri motions to the wound.
He looks at Demetri "Why are your eyes red?"
Because it's the apocalypse, we aren't bothering to hide our vampire nature. "Reasons" Demetri says "now, your wound?"
He looks down to his wound then to us "Um...gunshot. Could...could you give me a ride to my home?"
Demetri and I share a look, shrugging my shoulders while Demetri goes to the drivers side "sure, hop in" I help this human into the back "I'm Violet, this is my mate Demetri"
"Rick" he introduces "Rick Grimes"
"Well Rick" Demetri asks as I get into the passenger seat "where is your house?" He tells us the address and the ride is silent. Rick is looking out the window watching as we pass by the empty streets.
Getting into his driveway, Rick heads inside and Demetri and I wait out here as he yells for two people named Lori and Carl. "So..." Demetri wraps an arm around my waist "do you think we should help him?"
Shrugging his shoulders "We'll need to talk to Calanthe and Everett" hearing a couple of heartbeats, looking over I see two humans with black skin, short black hair and dark eyes come over. One is a kid, maybe around ten and the other is an adult with facial hair and a gun. The man and kid share similar facial features, maybe father and son? "what are you looking.,,"
Rick comes out of the house now and he's been crying, Demetri keeps an eye on the two humans while I go over to Rick who looks up at me when he fell to the ground "Their gone"
