6: A Restless Sip of Coffee

Should I recite the alphabet before I die?

An opening appeared and suddenly I felt myself gliding towards it. Gravity pulled me down and I fell before hitting the water painfully.
Great, now I was wet.

Finding the surface, suddenly I was pulled up, Tsu— or well, I didn't know her name yet, pulled her tongue off me. (I know how it sounds but it was her quirk— still gross but not that gross) looking down at the water, I realised how it was a miracle that I hadn't died by the hands of any of the villains.

I took a breath, "Have you guys got a plan?"

Mineta stopped stressing, "What plan? We're all going to die!!"

Midoryia thought for a while as Tsu explained about how far they were.

"I can teleport," I mumbled, "But I think—"

Midoryia just then jumped, screaming 'die!' At the top of his longes.

"I'll teleport," I told Tsu as I felt the boat rumbling beneath my feet.

I did and appeared in the water where I knew Midoryia and Tsu would go in a moment.

I gathered my thoughts. If I was correct, Thirteen was saved if she realised the logic of her quirk mixed with Kurogiri's. But about Aizawa...

God, he would be fighting Shigaraki in a second.
I couldn't do anything to fix it, could I?

Midoryia found me, him walking up with Tsu and Mineta.

I didn't say anything as I let them pass me, walking after them so Midoryia could go get a view off the plaza.

I couldn't give up, I realised. I had survived so far, now I could actually do something.

Let's think, I had my capture gear...
I definitely wasn't stronger than the nomu, that's not even a worthy thought to mention.
Who is stronger?

Or, just as smart,
The nomu himself.
If I tied the Nomu to itself, making it unable to get lose becuase he himself restrained him from doing so, maybe I could fix this?

Maybe I could buy Aizawa more time.

Maybe I could delay the Nomu and... and... god this would go wrong no matter what.

As I watched Aizawa erasing Shigaraki's quirk, I got an idea and appeared behind him, kicking Shigaraki so he would get delayed. If I was correct, then Aizawa wouldn't tire out his eyes enough to get his first concerning injury.

Teleporting back, I landed in the water and got some wide eyes.

"That was dangerous!" Mineta cried.

"Oh, grow up," I rolled my eyes, "I've got an overpowered quirk."
Though, I had to take a step on a solid surface to make me teleport, an exhausted effort to balance out my quirk— not the time, I had to focus.

The Nomu came to play, and I bit my cheek.
Not yet. I kept chanting before I teleported once more.

Finding Todoroki I pointed, "Now! You have to use your fire now, on the Nomu, just one thing of fire! Now!"

Hurrying Todoroki to look, he nodded, "The black thing."
He hesitated, but as I gave him a nod, he nodded back.
Throwing a ball of fire at the Nomu, Todoroki stepped back and looked uncomfortable.
My eyes were on the Nomu as it didn't smash Aizawa's face in as hard as it would in the anime. Still it looked bad.

"You did well," I smiled at him before teleporting once more.
I hid behind a rock as Shigaraki almost killed the two, Tsu and Midoryia.

I could teleport to help them— no, I couldn't. All Might would save them, and I wanted to be ready. I couldn't interfere, Aizawa lay unconscious, but there was less blood, I thought.
