While Aizawa was cat person, he somehow wouldn't let me adopt a second cat.

"But look at it." I pushed the cat in his face, "You can't refuse such cute eyes!"

Aizawa's sigh was annoyed as he explained.
"We don't know who's cat it is. We need to check it with the vet first."

I smiled, "And then we can adopt him?"

"Well," Aizawa thought, "I can't see why not, you're going to take care of it though."

Nodding, I got excited. I had found the cat in the city, not far off, and Aizawa told me to take it home cause it looked underfed.

After getting everything for the cat and a nod from the vet, the cat became ours.

The days leading up to the internship I came to get attached to Donkey (the cat's name) and as much as I loved the cat... er, Aizawa ended up having to really look after him instead because I was apparently bad at it.

Aizawa talked to me about training another student. This mystery person (cough Shinso) was from general Class, 1C to be exact (cough Shinso). Aizawa understood why he was in the general class. The entrance exam was focused on flashy quirks, giving people with other quirks a lower to no chance.
(Cough the student was Shinso)

Only to excitedly I encouraged Aizawa, him mumbling something about 'creepy that I seemed to know something'.

The day came and class 1A stood at the train station.
We stood in a circle around Aizawa as he told us to behave.

I found Todoroki and later looked as Midoryia voiced his concerns to Iida.

Knowing it would probably turn out fine, I walked to the train I had to take.

Oh how I was looking forwards to this.
Simple learning, no danger and good vibes.

When I arrived in a new city Google maps saved my life before I stood in front of the agency.
Once more I wanted to squeal. As much as I had gotten used to the idea of heroes existing, I was about to meet one I had never heard about!! Or well, never heard about from the series. Aizawa told me it was the best place for me to learn things.

I hid my nervous face in the scarf (not realising yet how Aizawa that was) and walked inside.

"Oh, you're the student?" Someone asked with a smile, "Welcome."
I got some things explained before I was told that I would have to take a night shift.
"Were really sorry for the inconvenience—"

"It's no problem," I shook my head, "Not at all if you've got free coffee."

"As much as you'd want." The person said before sending me to a lounge. I had to wait until eight in the evening. In the meanwhile, I was advised to take a nap or something.

Of course I did, and when the clock hit eight I met the hero that I was interning with.

She shook my head with a small smile, her kind grey eyes saying more about her smile.
"I'm Mishira, but you can call me Mishi, which is my hero name."

We shook hands and I introduced myself.
"Rui, but you can call me Phantom."

Mishi nodded before pointing at the door, "We should go. I might be earlier than usual, but I'd still rather not delay patrol."

I nodded and we headed out.

We first walked trough the city a bit before Mishi decided to take a different route.
"If you think you can't keep up, don't push yourself. If so, tell me and we'll meet back at the agency."

I gave a nod before Mishi used her quirk to have one of the shadows move her up to the rooftop.
Within a step I stood next to her, making her jump a bit.

"O—okay, I forgot you had a teleportation quirk," Mishi said embarrassed, "You must think me stupid for—"

"It's okay." I shrugged, "I'm still a student, and I doubt you said what you said for nothing."

Mishi took a deep breath before she nodded.
Ah, cute. I need her in the series now.

"Let's get going then, and don't fall."

I nodded that I understood.
Mishi started out a bit slow, but then she sped up, climbing over rooftops and checking alleyways. She explained that often things happened in places heroes didn't tent to look, so it was the job of heroes like her to spare an extra glance.

Using the scarf, I kept up, only having to teleport a few times so I wouldn't stay behind. I was still figuring out the scarf. So hard.

Mishi signalled for me to be quiet and I softly landed a while behind her on the rooftop. Looking down a bit, we found two people down in the alley, one whispering while the other looked rather horrified.

Mishi showed me something, a tiny black button, before dropping it down. It made no sound as it fell on the ground. To be fair, I wouldn't be able to find it back, even.
Pressing on the ear piece, Mishi listened and I realised what the button really was.
A microphone.

Pressing on the piece in my own ear I could hear what was being said.

"...So hard to acquire it, and now you're backing out? You realise how much it's worth?"

The silent person spoke up, a frown forming, "Where would you even sell that? It's inhuman to even have that."
Inhuman?

"The black market, of course," the first person said as if it were obvious.

The silent person shook their head, "Where ever you got that stuff, put it back," he gestured to the building we were standing on, "And I— I don't want any part of this."

The first person's glare intensified.
"I came all this way..."

"I don't care," the quiet person got a bit angry, "I don't want no black market, and I don't want no—"

Mishi jumped down, the shadows slowing her fall before she quickly took out the first person who was ready to fight back. The second person just stared before holding up their hands.
"No need to beat me up, it was foolish at all to trust these people."

Mishi nodded, following protocol and making sure we wouldn't be stabbed in the back and she put cuffs around the person's arm.

Teleporting down, I walked to the door, "We should make sure there's no more people in the building next, right?"

Mishi nodded and picked up the microphone, putting it back in her pocket.

Walking inside I paused.

My stomach turned.

In a chair sat a person, their hands bound behind the back of the chair. Even if their back was turned to me, I saw enough blood to freeze up.

"What's wrong?" Mishi asked when I wouldn't move out of the way.

I shook myself out of my thoughts and hurried up to the chair.

"No more..." the person mumbled, their short black hair falling in front of their face as they tried to back up with their eyes closed.

"We won't hurt you," I said, "I won't hurt you, you're safe now."

The person's eyes opened a bit.
Seeing me, their eyes widened.
"Who—who are you?" They asked bewildered.

As Mishi untied them I introduced us.
"What's your name?"

"I... I'm Yasuyuki," they said hesitantly, "I think..."
Mishi helped them up.
"I think you're in danger."

I tilted my head, trying not to look down at the blood on the ground.
"Us?"

"No," Yasuyuki shook her head, "You."
