(A/n: fun fact, I think of the title after I finish writing the chapter, so right not I just quoted this chapter. It amazes me how I succeed to use coffee in some way in every title this story, I'm going to continue to do that, it's funny to me.

The hospital was quiet as I waited for any word of the nurses. Mishi had gone back to the agency to get some stuff done and I was given the option to wait or to go with her.

As bad and horrifying as this was (and sudden) Mishi had seen this sort of thing before and told me it's best to let other people deal with the rest. Finding a person like that messed a hero up enough, she had said.

Yet, I couldn't get it out of my head.
The person, Yasuyuki, they had just sat there, for how long? The blood seemed fresh enough, but I remembered some of it being dried, or older. And though I had only seen small wounds on them, I suspected all of that blood was from them. That reaction when I walked up to them, it was sick.

A nurse passed me, and when I asked, she told me that Yasuyuki was treated and waiting for a detective.
Deciding to give her a visit, I asked wether I was allowed. Somehow after filling in only one form, I was allowed to.

When I walked into their room, I found them giving me a small smile.

I smiled back, "How are you feeling?"

Yasuyuki fiddled with the hospital gown.
"Clean."

I remembered the one time I had visited a hospital. It had been after the worst home I had gotten, I had been given such a gown and the feeling of finally something that wasn't bloody or dirty, it felt amazing.

"I'm glad," I mumbled and we talked.

While Yasuyuki got comfortable, I answered all of her questions. They were amazed that I was focussing on becoming a hero and it was adorable how their eyes sparkled when she asked more questions.
Finally Mishi came with the detective and gave me a look. 'I told you to wait'. Yes, well, no fuck that. The child had been alone and scared, I couldn't not be there.

While Mishi left I was supposed to follow, but Yasuyuki got up and quickly hugged me tightly, "Don't leave." They whispered.

I blinked, confused before I realised just how small they were.
Giving the detective a glance, he nodded and I was assured Yasuyuki I'd stay with her.

The detective asked questions.

"Your name?"
"Gender?"
"Quirk?"

Then the real questions began and Yasuyuki walked over to me, giving me a hug.
Sure it was uncomfortable and kind of strange, but then Yasuyuki sobbed as she explained about not being from here.

"Not from here?" I voiced.

The detective as well wondered about this, but for a different reason.
"How do you mean?"

Yasuyuki sniffled and rubbed their eyes, "Before... there... no powers."

I sighed and felt glad that it seemed to make no sense to the detective. Softly I wiped their tears away before I hugged Yasuyuki.
Then I told the detective, "We need Nezu."

It took some convincing before the detective called the chimera up.

As I calmed down the sobbing kid, I really hoped that I was wrong.
If this person was from another realm like me, then something odd must be going on.

Holly shit!! What if this was some sort of mystery!? What if I was entangled into it!? Holly mother of Zelda!!

The detective was quick to explain the situation to Nezu, him being a faint acquaintance so it was slightly awkward.

Nezu listened before he spoke up.
"I'll be there shortly." He hung up and we were left in silence.

The detective sighed and got up.
Giving me one last nod, he left.

I continued to hug Yasuyuki as they calmed down.

"Can I ask one last question?" I asked softly and I felt them nod.
"What exactly did you mean, with me being in danger?"

Yasuyuki looked up a bit, "I..." they took a breath and explained, "When I was stuck in a room, they hurt me. They told me it was for knowledge. I... saw..." again she took a breath, "Pictures. Many pictures. When I got taken to where you found me, we passed a room. The people who took me there paused to look. It was scary, the entire room was filled with pictures of you."

I nodded, "Thank you for telling me. You're very brave."

Yasuyuki smiled a bit. They gave me one last tight hug before they went to sit on the bed.

That evening Mishi was in contact with Aizawa. He had already been told of the situation, but I didn't want to give up the internship.

Nezu said he'd take care of the situation, so I was left to stay awake all nights, sleeping the days with caffeine as my best friend. The internship was great and I learned loads of things.

Finally I said goodbye to Mishi. She had given me a big smile, giving me a tight hug before she let me leave.

Back at home I found Aizawa.
He got up and almost immediately I wrapped him into a hug, my backpack still on my back.

I still couldn't wrap my head around it.
There were people out there, hurting little kids.
I didn't want to change the story line. I really didn't, but Eri got on my mind.
Would she be in a room by now? Alone and scared?
How many more children were hidden?

As much as I wanted to help everyone, I knew I couldn't. So I just hugged Aizawa tightly, preparing for when I let go. Preparing to face this reality once more.
