Yes, the news had told me enough, but after talking to Todoroki, he told me this. "About that deal, let's do it."
Of course he talked about the deal we had made. I'd stop cutting, he'd treat his quirk like his own.

The new cuts on my arm protested as I shook his hand.

We walked to class, finding people talking about their internships.
Myself, I had learned a ton about being a more underground hero. I was taught sneaking and amazing tricks to help me in combat. Mishi had explained that sometimes situations made it hard to use your quirk. For instance, her in a room without shadows made her practically quirkless. In these situations it was important to not give up, to know what to do next.

I remembered her saying that it was why she believed that quirkless people could be heroes to.

And yes, I agreed with her!!
Fuck All Might for relying on his quirk and telling Midoryia shit!!

Er— the story, yes.

Mina got excited when she saw me and Todoroki walking in.

"Both of you! Todoroki, you were there with the hero killer, and Rui, you—"

I smiled a bit, "It's—I'm sorry, I don't really want to talk about it."
The news had shown Mishi talking for a few seconds, and Mina probably knew where everyone interned by now. She had probably figured I had been part of an epic rescuing mission.

Mina looked surprised, "But you—"

"Class started three seconds ago."

Yes, we all ran to our seats when Aizawa showed up.

I felt relieved that I wouldn't have to explain about that god awful room.
So relieved in fact, that I had almost forgotten what was next.

"Finals—"

I froze up.

It was at lunch when I realised the weight of it.
Mid terms we're alright, I got seventh of the class. Aizawa had helped me a bit, but now with all the drama, the internships, the sports festival, I hadn't studied as much as I should have.

When I voiced this, agreeing with Sero, Todoroki uncomfortably offered me some help.

"Maybe after school, we could study together."

I had smiled, "Of course."

It had yet to cross my mind where we'd most likely go.

And so I stood in front of Todoroki's house.

I freaked the fuck out.

Like, this is where.

This is where!!

Dabi!!!

Oh my god, Natsuo!!

And argh!! Fuyumi!!

Ahhhhhaaahahaaahahaaaahhahhhhhjahahaha!!!
Yes I was excited to be here.

I pressed the doorbell, adjusting my bag a bit as I looked at the traditional garden.

It was Fuyumi who opened the door.

"Hello, you must be the student Todoroki had invited!" Fuyumi said cheerfully.

I smiled, "That would be me."

Fuyumi let me enter the house.
"Thank you so much for being friends with Todoroki," she clapped her hands, "He never had many friends you see—"

"Fuyumi." Todoroki walked up, very annoyed at that sentence. I'd be as well, had I had a sibling.

"Oh, I'll leave you to be," Fuyumi said. As she walked away, Todoroki awkwardly pointed to a direction before walking that way, me following. So awkward, in a way so cute.

Me and Todoroki sat in his room, books open on his rather large desk while we helped each other out.
Mostly it was Todoroki speaking, he was better in nearly every subject.
Fortunately I wasn't all bad, I was able to explain English, me having lived in a household where they loved the language, and thus taught me a whole lot of it.

Fuyumi got us a snack, her being excited about having me over.

To be fair, it was disappointing to leave again. Of course I got the offer to stay for dinner, but I had to refuse. Aizawa threatened to go pick me up if it got late— in other words, with the new situation Nezu was handling, Aizawa was more stern than he was before.

Todoroki walked with me to the bus stop and we chatted a bit, it was funny, because we kept studying in a way as we recited some things.

Finally we said our goodbyes when I got on the bus.

Wait, I just realised, Todoroki was my first friend in a while!
Goals.

That evening I asked Aizawa to take all sharp things from my room. It concerned him a bit, but I told him about the deal I had made and he said he understood.

The very next evening, actually, Aizawa asked me wether I knew what the exams would be.
I froze up.
"No." I lied, though it wasn't the best effort.

"So you know then," Aizawa realised, "I will have to give you a separate exam, then."

I sighed, "Fine, but don't make it too hard," I thought, "I suppose you could give the class the excuse that I could simply teleport to win, that would be an excellent thing to say."

Aizawa nodded before grabbing his sleeping bag.
We watched tv for a while more before I turned in for the night.

Secretly I was glad that I'd get another exam.
It got almost boring to know how to win. I mean, I had used notebook to make tactics for which exam I'd be placed in, but that was almost useless now.

The days leading up to the exams I hung out with a few times Todoroki and even did I visit Midoryia's place, Inko not having been home, to study.

For training, Aizawa made sure to make some time for me. A few times did I see Shinso, and sometimes we'd train together, but not for long as something usually came up.

I really hoped I was doing enough...
