We left camp about an hour ago. Bellamy decided to start where he saw Octavia last. And from there, we headed in the direction where he saw her go. I was walking with Roma towards the middle of the group. Me and her were the only ones without torches. Earlier we found Octavia's bag down a hill and blood-stained rock which sent chills down my spine.

We continued walking until Finn and Bellamy came to a stop. I looked over their shoulders and froze, my breathing hitched. Dozens of skeletons were hanging from the trees. Some of them were still decaying.

"I don't speak grounder but I'm pretty sure this means keep out." Some of the delinquents decided that this was enough for them and decided to leave. "Go back if you want. My sister, my responsibility." Bellamy announced before continuing to walk through the creepy skeletons. "The things I would do for Octavia." I followed right after Bellamy and then I heard Jasper say he would to hell for her which made me smile. When I looked back, Jasper, Finn, and others decided to follow.

A while had already passed. The sun was high up in the sky, I had no idea how long we'd been looking but I was getting very tired. I was lagging behind a few times that Finn and Jasper would bring me to the front and I would eventually be in the back with Mbege and Monroe. Bellamy had told them to make sure I didn't fall too far behind.

I leaned on a tree and leaned on my knees with my hands as I yawned. "Come on, Kane. We can't stay too far back." I muttered a 'whatever' at Mbege before walking again. Or more like reluctantly dragging my exhausted body, my heavy eyes glued to the ground. At this point, I will willingly sleep right here, right now.

"I got nothing. We lost the trail." Finn said.

"Keep looking." Bellamy desperately said.

"Wandering around aimlessly isn't the way to find your sister. We should backtrack. Maybe take a break." As he said that, I felt a small breeze hit my back, which felt nice since the sun was a bit hot today.

"I'm not going back." Bellamy said.

"Rowan." I hummed as I looked up to meet Roma's concerned face. "Where's John?" I pointed my thumb lazily behind me before turning around to face Mbege. I stared into the empty spot where he was, a bit confused and scared. "Please tell me that he is right here and that it's exhaustion that suddenly made him invisible. Because I swear, he was just here 2 seconds ago." I nervously said as my body was now fully awake.

"I just saw him a second ago." Jasper said as I rubbed my eyes, now understanding that they were not deceiving me and Mbege suddenly disappeared. "Spread out. He couldn't have gone far." I was about to follow Diggs along with Monroe but Mbege's body fell from above us. I flinched back, my shoulder hitting the tree on my left as I stared at his body lying on the ground. His eyes were wide open, blood spilling from the slash around his neck.

"They use the trees." Finn said when he and Bellamy ran over, causing us to look up. I readied an arrow in my bow. We couldn't see nor hear anyone in them, just the birds chirping and crowing. "We shouldn't have crossed the boundary line." Diggs said. "No can we go back?" Roma asked not even a second after Diggs.

"There. Right there." Jasper said, pointing to a grounder in the distance. I aimed by bow at them, about to shoot but Diggs pointed to another one. "Rowan. No. We should run." Finn said and we wasted no time in running.

We continued running, jumping over fallen logs and up small inclines. We kept taking sharp turns as the grounders seemed to cut us off. Along with ours panting and shouts to keep running, I could hear heavy footsteps around us and saw at least four grounders catching up.

One was catching up to Jasper who was falling behind since he was still recovering. I stopped, grabbing an arrow and aiming my bow behind Jasper. "Jasper! Duck!" My arrow flew passed his head and into the grounders chest, making them fall back on the ground.
