Standing in front of the grand gates of the college, Mini fiddled nervously with the hem of her dress. Her usually confident demeanor had given way to hesitation, which didn't go unnoticed by Bondita.
"Yaar, Bondu... pata nahi, mujhe bohot zyada nervousness ho rahi hai," Mini admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Bondita tilted her head and looked at her best friend incredulously. "Ohh, hello! Yeh tu hi hai na? Tu nervous kyun ho rahi hai, haan?"
Mini groaned, brushing her hair back. "Iss dress mein, bhen ji jaise lag rahi hoon. Kya kya socha tha college ke first day ke liye aur kya hogaya!"
Bondita rolled her eyes dramatically and grabbed Mini by the shoulders. "Kyaaa? Tu iss dress ki wajah se nervous hai? Hyeee, Bhagwan! Main kya bol rahi thi, tu sunn toh. You're looking so beautiful, yaar! Tujhe pata hai, koi ladka agar tujhe dekhega na, toh ekdam fida ho jaega. Shotti bol rahi hoon!"
Mini narrowed her eyes suspiciously, though a faint blush crept onto her cheeks. "Chal jhuthi, kuch bhi bolti rehti hai," she muttered, playfully hitting Bondita on the shoulder.
"Oho, main jhooth nahi bol rahi! Ekdum sach bol rahi hoon!" Bondita defended, crossing her arms with mock seriousness.
Mini smirked. "Haan-haan, pata hai mujhe. Chal, ab bas yahi gate ke paas khadi rehni hai ya andar bhi chalenge?"
Bondita grinned and linked her arm with Mini's. "Aree, haan, chalo na! College ke andar ki duniya dekhte hai!"
With that, the duo stepped through the towering gates, their eyes sparkling with wonder as they took in the sprawling campus. The lush gardens, wide courtyards, and bustling hallways were alive with chatter and excitement.
"Bondu, yeh jagah ekdum alag hai," Mini whispered, looking around in awe.
"Haan, yaar! Itna bada campus! Lagta hai maze karne ke liye jagah ki kami nahi hogi," Bondita replied, her enthusiasm evident in her voice.
The two wandered through the corridors, stopping occasionally to admire the architecture and the vibrant energy of the place. With every step, their nervousness faded, replaced by a growing excitement for the adventures that lay ahead.
As Anirudh parked the car in the college premises, he let out a breath of relief. "Yeh lo, aa gaye hum college mein," he said, glancing at Batuk.
Batuk leaned forward dramatically, as if he hadn't noticed the massive building before him. "Haan, dikh raha hai mujhe, Dada," he replied with mock seriousness.
Anirudh shot him a glare that could make anyone shrink, and Batuk immediately corrected himself. "M-Mera matlab hai...andar chaliye na, Dada!" he stammered, flashing a sheepish grin.
