A warm, damp cloth brushed against my inner thighs, and an involuntary whimper escaped my lips at the sudden sensation. My body felt sore, achingly so, and exhaustion weighed heavy on my limbs, making it hard to move.
"Oh... ahh-"
My eyes fluttered open slowly, the dim golden glow of the bedside lamp casting soft shadows across the room. As my vision adjusted, my breath caught in my throat. There he was-my husband-sitting beside me on the bed, his sharp features softened by the quiet intimacy of the moment.
And that's when it hit me.
My cheeks burned as the memories of the night crashed over me like a tidal wave. It was our wedding night-our first night as husband and wife-and it had happened. It had truly happened. The soft whispers, the hesitant touches that had soon turned into something much deeper, something far more consuming. I remembered the way his hands had traced over my skin, the way his lips had explored every inch of me, the way he had held me as if I was the most precious thing in his world.
My body tingled at the mere recollection of it. The way he had filled me, claimed me, moved within me over and over again until I was nothing but a trembling mess in his arms. My breaths came out uneven, my face burning hotter as I recalled how I had clung to him, how I had begged for more, how I had surrendered to him completely.
And now, here he was, gently tending to me, his touch so careful, so reverent. He brought the warm cloth up to my stomach, his fingers lingering for a moment before he spoke in that deep, velvety voice that never failed to send shivers down my spine.
"I didn't want to wake you, sunshine..." he murmured, his lips curving into a soft smile. "I was just cleaning you up."
His words made my stomach flutter, and my heart thumped wildly against my ribcage. He looked breathtaking-shirtless, his muscled torso on full display, his hair slightly tousled from our endless night of passion. He wore only a pair of shorts that hung low on his waist, revealing the sharp lines of his abdomen. My gaze lingered on him for a moment too long, taking in the faint sheen of sweat that still clung to his skin, the raw masculinity that radiated from him so effortlessly.
I swallowed thickly, trying to gather my thoughts. I had no idea when exactly I had fallen asleep, but I remembered the way I had curled up against him, my body exhausted yet utterly satiated, his warmth enveloping me completely.
"How long have I been asleep?" I asked, my voice coming out softer than I intended. "What's the time?"
Anirudh's eyes flickered toward the wall clock before he looked back at me, his fingers brushing a damp strand of hair from my forehead. "It's 4:30 AM, love," he answered smoothly. "You just slept for 20 minutes."
My eyes widened in shock. "Wait... what?"
My heart pounded as I processed his words. 20 minutes? That's all? My gaze darted to the clock again, my mind racing as I realized what it meant. We had been awake all night.
All night.
Doing-
Oh god.
A strangled whimper left my lips as the realization hit me like a thunderbolt. Every heated moment, every whispered plea, every time he had taken me under the spell of desire-it all came rushing back. I could still feel the lingering ache between my thighs, a sinful reminder of just how thoroughly he had loved me.
