Anirudh, Batuk, Mini, and Bondita entered the busy canteen, the smell of food filling the air. The chatter of students echoed as they found a table near the window, the sunlight streaming in, adding warmth to the moment.

Anirudh took charge, his usual calm composure unshaken. "Tum teenon jakar baith jao, main order karta hoon," he said, his voice smooth and assuring.

Batuk flashed a grin at his brother, clearly in a playful mood. "How sweet of you, dada! Kitne acche ho aap," he teased, nudging Anirudh lightly.

Anirudh raised an eyebrow, a small smirk tugging at his lips. "Yeh sweetness diabetes mein badalne se pehle, bata do, kya khana hai?" he replied, not missing the chance to tease back.

Batuk paused, dramatically thinking, tapping his chin. "Uhhhhhhhhhh..." he trailed off, stalling for time before finally deciding. "Double cheese pizza with a mango smoothie, toh best rahega, dada."

Mini, who had been listening intently, didn’t miss a beat. "Ahum... Same, mere liye bhi double cheese pizza, but mango nahi, chocolate smoothie," she said with a playful grin, looking at Anirudh.

Anirudh nodded, already mentally noting their orders. "Ok, done." But his gaze lingered on Bondita, his eyes filled with curiosity, as he anticipated her order. There was something about her that made him both intrigued and... distracted.

Bondita, standing there with a slight frown on her face, hesitated. She was unsure of what to order, her mind blanking. She glanced at the menu but couldn't make up her mind.

Mini, who had been watching her closely, couldn’t help but shake her head in amusement. "Ofo yaar, yeh na hamesha aise karti hai. Bhookh toh lagti hai, par pata nahi kya khaye..." she complained playfully. "Ek kam kar, tu jakar dekh le aur wahan se kuch na kuch uthale. Mera matlab hai ki jo tujhe pasand ho, woh order kar de."

Anirudh, agreeing with Mini, chimed in, "Haan, you’re right. Wahan se jo bhi tumhe pasand ho, wah order kar dena."

Batuk added, "Haan, aap donon jakar order kar lo. Tab tak ham donon future planning kar lenge," he said, winking at Mini.

Anirudh and Bondita blurted out in unison, "Kya?" Both were taken aback, their expressions shifting to astonishment. They stared at Batuk in surprise, unsure of what he meant.

Meanwhile, Mini glanced down, a blush creeping across her cheeks, adding a shy charm to the moment. She avoided looking up, clearly caught off guard by Batuk’s comment.

Batuk, realizing his slip, stammered, "Me...mer...mere... I mean, about colleges... future planning... aage kya karenge ham padhai mein," he explained, trying to recover, his words coming out in a rush.

Anirudh shot Batuk an angry glare, his patience clearly wearing thin. "However..." he said, his voice firm, "ham chal ke order karte hain." He turned to Bondita, who nodded in agreement, her lips curving slightly, though she was still clearly flustered from the unexpected comment.

Mini, not wanting to miss the opportunity, grabbed Bondita’s arm, giving her a mischievous smile. “Chalo, let’s go,” she whispered, winking.

As they moved towards the counter, Anirudh stayed behind for a moment, watching Batuk with narrowed eyes. “Keep your mind on the task at hand,” he muttered, his voice low enough so only Batuk could hear.

The canteen was a blur of movement as Anirudh and Bondita made their way through the crowd. Their quiet conversation, mingling with the laughter and chatter around them, marked the beginning of a strange yet undeniable connection between them. The day was just getting started, and yet, it felt like something important was already unfolding between them.
