"When will Craig get here?" Wangari asked turning to Marie. "He should be here any minute- oh there he is." Marie replied and waved at Craig to signal him where they were sitted. He smiled as he walked over. "Hey girls, hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long?" He said taking a seat. "No, you're right on time." Wangari said. "Are we ready to order?" He asked. "Yes. Let's order."
The waitress came with their drinks. "I ordered a drink for you." Marie said to Craig. "Oh, that was sweet of you, thanks." He replied with a smile. "What are you ordering?" The waitress asked. "I'll order the chips and chicken." Wangari said. "Let's have what we had last time." Craig suggested. "Oh yeah, let's have that." Craig ordered for them both and the waitress left after scribbling the orders on her notepad.
"Last time?" Wangari mumbled under her breath. "Umm- I'm I missing something here? Come to think of it, you guys are together." Wangari gasped in realization. "What? Pfft no no. We're just friends." "Haha! No. We're friends. We just hang out." Craig and Marie said simultaneously.
Their food was brought cutting the conversation short for a second before the waitress walked away and they both tried to explain how they were just friends.
"Okay, if you say so." Wangari said sounding smug as she continued eating.
"I'm telling you Wangari, it's not wh-" Wangari was distracted when someone walked into the cafe and she glanced up to see who it was and her jaw dropped a little as she did a double take. She completely zoned out of the conversation they were having in favor of oogling the guy sauntering towards the counter, her food temporarily forgotten. "Mmhh." She hummed to appear as if she was listening to the two in front of her but her mind was elsewhere.
The guy had on gray sweatpants and a black shirt that hugged his broad shoulders and arms and looked fantastic on him. His skin looked flawless and smooth to the touch. He turned and looked around the cafe and Wangari held her breath thinking he had seen her checking him out but he seemed to look right past her. She couldn't see his features very well from this far but it was clear he was gorgeous.
"Earth to Wangari." Her thought process was interrupted when Marie snapped her fingers in front of her face. Wangari was startled and looked at her two friends. "Is this happening? Did you see that Marie? Tell me you saw that." Craig asked in disbelief. "What?" Wangari asked.
"You. That's what. You've been drooling over that guy since he walked in." Craig said again. "Well, yeah. He's hot." Wangari said nonchalantly. "How is this the first time I'm seeing this?" Craig asked looking between the two. "No idea." Wangari said as they both shrugged.
"Wow. I thought you were going to be denying that you were checking him out." Craig said to Wangari. "No, if he's hot, he's hot. Though, honestly for a second there, I thought about denying it but what's the point? We'll never see him again after he walks out of that door. And he didn't even see us." Wangari said and at that moment, the guy stood up and walked out.
"You never know." Marie said. "What, you think I'll see him again? Like seriously, the chances of that is like one in a million. Literally impossible." Wangari replied. "You just said that the chances of that is one in a million, that isn't the same as impossible and you know it. Besides, he might be a regular or something and you might run into him again. Never say never." Marie said. "But you just said never two times in that statement, the first never nullifies the second one." Wangari said. "But- oh, yeah. It actually does." Marie said then chuckled.
"Girls, I've heard that word too much, please move on." Craig said.
"Let's talk about you two then." Wangari said looking at Craig. "Nevermind, carry on." Craig said and continued eating. Wangari laughed and Marie joined making Craig chuckle a little. "But seriously guys, if you're together, it's not a problem." Wangari said looking at both of them. Craig opened his mouth to say something but Wangari beat him to it. "And if you're not, it's fine too." She said with a small smile and continued eating.
Wangari's phone pinged and she checked to see a message from a new number.

"Who's that?" Marie asked. "What?" Wangari looked up from her phone. "Oh, it's just someone from school. Some guy named Mike. He's weird." Wangari shrugged as she put her phone back in her pocket. "Ok. So what are we going to do this weekend? Any parties? Or maybe we can just hang out." Marie asked looking between her two friends. "Actually I'm going home this weekend." Craig said. "Then I'll just hang out with my best friend." Marie said looking at Wangari. "I'm going home for a bit too but u can come with. You know my mum likes you." Wangari said.

Song of the day: Toss the salt - Sionya & Emmi
Hey guys,
Christmas day has been and is gone. I'm hoping all of you had a happy, blessed Christmas with laughter and cheer. I did. Though I don't know if it's just me or... but this Christmas wasn't Christmas-ing like previous years. All in all, it was good.
That being said, what did you think about this chapter? We got to see another side of Wangari we've not seen before this and I'm hoping it stays.
Do any of you think that Craig and Marie are together or are they just good friends who are Vibin'?
