They left the arcade, both of them were silent again except the somber music being played throughout the time they reached the place where they first met; the French Street, where Sara lived.
Azriel stopped the car and said to Sara, “Miss Sara I find this place filled with the vibe of irony, don’t you?” Sara replied, “For sure, Mr. Azriel! I feel the same about this place. Well, I’ll take a leave now and thank you so much for dropping me at my place and also for today! ”
Azriel then said, “It’s all because of your efforts Miss Sara and I am grateful to you too for taking me to the arcade after years..
I’ll take my leave then. Bye!”
Saying that, both of them parted from there.
Sara on reaching her home, talked about the presentation with Jess and her parents. They all were listening to it eagerly. And especially her parents were happy to know that she is enjoying her new job.
Sara went to her room and as almost all the besties do. she video called Olivia and started to tell her the “Story of the Day!”
Olivia listened to her with excitement and at last she asked her,
“Sara, what do you think, you will wish for?” Sara simply smiled and didn’t know what to say. She replied, “This wish, I’ll keep for my future! I am not sure what it will be but it’s certain it will be life-changing one. ” both of them giggled and then hung up after talking about random things.
Azriel’s POV:
I can’t believe I went to an arcade. Oh My! What’s wrong with me?
I am not sure what’s so good about Miss Sara but she actually has this charming personality. However, I hope she can show good efforts in the business as well and help me out.
Anyways, got to sleep now!
THE NEXT DAY:
The next day was a complete hectic one for Sara as new recruits were to be interviewed for the new branch so she had to plan out everything for Azriel. However, he seemed the old him, ‘the Cold Boss.’
Soon it was time for lunch and then Sara went for lunch with Shyna and Katherine. And they started to discuss how their jobs were going on.
Sara asked, “How’re your jobs going on? Cause mine here, is just so hectic. ”
Shyna says, “Exactly! It’s just been few days and the work keeps on piling up. It’s just not so easy to be the Office Assistant. Man I’m seriously having a lot of stress.”
Katherine also says, “Girls, seems like we all are having a hard time and on top these new recruits thing is giving me headaches. By the way, Sara have you heard that our MD is such a cold person. He is popular being called ‘the Cold Boss.’ I heard my other colleagues talk about his cold nature.”
Sara was all confused because the way Mr. Azriel behaved with her was different and the arcade memories didn’t seem to have faded from her mind.
Sara then replied, “is it really true? I don’t think so as he behaves quite well with me.”
Shyna and Katherine get more confused and ask her, “well, may be its due to you being a newbie or maybe not……?” All of them were cracking their heads but soon their lunch break finished and they had to go back on their jobs.
But as soon as she came to the office she saw lots of files kept on her desk so she went to Azriel’s office to ask him about it. She asked, “Mr. Azriel what are all these files about? Do I need to submit a report on all of them?”
Azriel then turned around; however, Sara had never seen him this way. He was looking at her sharply with a very cold gaze. She felt goose bumps all over her spine. Azriel then stood up and asked her in a very rash tone “Mrs. Sara why did you try to contact my previous secretary? If it was anything you could have asked me directly or Mr. Jason but why her?”
Sara was thunderstruck there itself as the way Azriel was talking to her was completely out of the blue and that too in such extreme voice.
Sara hesitatingly said, “Yes Mr. Azriel. And I contacted her because it was urgent as it was regarding the meeting with Magenta Automobiles.”
Azriel was in no mood to hear what Sara had to speak and ordered her, “Mrs. Sara you better get it straight. You are here just for a year as an employee so better perform your duties yourself rather than calling someone else. That is why, all those files are kept on your desk as it seems you don’t have proper knowledge about me nor my company. You better prepare a report by tomorrow morning and submit it.”
Sara wanted to ask a lot of things to him but she didn’t dare to as Azriel seemed to be in a very angry mood and he wasn’t even caring to listen to her. So, she left the office immediately, back on her desk. Sara was all teary and shocked. It felt like she just met someone else right now instead of Azriel.
Seems like her fate had been jinxed!
