I woke up earlier than my usual time as I was just so excited for my first day at work. I quickly went to take a shower. I decided to wear a beautiful formal dress and surprisingly there was a black high-neck, paired with a classic skirt with black sheer stockings which looked really beautiful. A note on my dressing quoted, “All the best for your first day, sweetie.” I knew who bought it for me, my mom and dad as they always bring gifts for us whenever they go on a trip. I then wore the dress my parents gifted me and I finished the look with cherry colour overcoat. And of course I bathed in Chanel no. 5! I finished getting ready and with the fragrance of Chanel perfume, I was feeling excited for the day.
I then came to have breakfast and to my surprise my mom had prepared my fav choco-chip cookies.
”What a wonderful beginning of the day, hopefully the whole day will be the same!”
I talked to my parents and thanked for this beautiful gift. My dad then exclaimed with joy, “You look pretty my princess…Wish u the best ahead!” I had a big smile on my face. Jess also came down and stared at me for a little while. She said, “Madame you look stunning on your fist day of work!” I bid her goodbye with hugs and kisses and thanked her. I can’t be late so I left for my company, Greenyard.Co.
I took the bus as the buses are an easier mean and Paris is famous for them too! The whole way I was just trying to analyze what Olivia has said to me yesterday. I think she was right about me, over thinking regarding the contract and my tenure in the company. I should be glad enough to be joining the global MNC which is Top 3 in France. So I should be looking forward to work hard and enjoy my job. After all “everything happens for a reason.”
I didn’t even realize when I reached the company with all the thinking. I met Shyna on the way and we were heading inside. I guess our friend Katherine who got selected as the receptionist has become perfect in a single day. We exchanged greetings and left for our own departments. Mine and Shyna’s office is nearby and on the same floor so we went together. She went for her office and I headed towards Managing Director’s office.
As soon as I entered his office, I was shocked to see no one inside. I wondered to myself, “Am I late? Or is he not available right now?” Several questions popped up in my head so I thought of leaving the office but the moment I turned away I heard someone calling my name.
It was Mr. Azriel. I don’t know why? But I get all blank whenever he calls my name. I then wished him, “Good morning Mr. Azriel.” Just like that day he simply smiled at me. He said, “I hope you are feeling well now and if you feel dizzy or something let me know. You can take the leave then.” I was surprised at his caring gesture because I thought he is gonna be an arrogant boss but he is different. I replied to him with a simple nod.
