I opened my eyes and found my mother crying beside me and my dad talking with the doctor. Both of them looked tensed with big lines on their forehead. I called my mom with all the voice I had and she exclaimed with joy calling out my dad and the doctor. Both my mom and dad asked me,”Hey, sweetie how are you feeling?” I wasn’t able to speak properly so I simply smiled at them. Then the doctor asked me whether I was feeling cold or not. I simply denied him by moving my head. But the question of me being in the hospital didn’t leave my mind yet. Later my dad and the doctor went out of the room and I was with my mom. She was actually so worried as it was clearly expressive through her face.
It took me a little time to speak properly but I couldn’t see her that way either, so in a thin voice I said,
“Mom! Why are you worrying a lot? As u can see I am alright so just don’t get tensed anymore. Please. ” My mom simply smiled at me and said, “Sure sweetie…I won’t worry. You have opened your eyes and that’s a big relief to me.” I too smiled back.
“But mom can I ask you what exactly happened ‘because you weren’t here and neither dad and how am I in this hospital?” I asked curiously.
She replied, ”We actually wanted to surprise you both but when we came home Jessi was with our neighbor Mrs. Park talking to her about you and you were on the couch all scrunched up and wet. Jessi seemed too scared as she saw you fainting and then we brought you here as you were unconscious the whole time.”
I sat on the hospital bed to hug my mom. It had been around two weeks that I met my mom.
I said, “Mom, I am really very sorry. You and dad had to go through a lot because of me. Even your surprise got ruined because of me. I am sorry!”
My mom is actually a very humble lady and so she didn’t say much and asked me to rest placing a kiss on my head.
I guess then I started recollecting everything from last night but I could remember only a part of it and later I simply slept. I woke up later in the evening, I was completely surprised by someone’s presence by my side. For few seconds it was like I was hallucinating because it was Mr. Azriel and my parents were talking to him. I got a complete panic. I slowly sat up as I was still feeling weak and he then asked,
”Are you feeling alright Miss Sara? I just heard you had wet yourself and collapsed.”
I don’t know why but I got completely embarrassed by hearing wet and collapsed words from his mouth. I don’t know why is he acting all caring right now because I had been soaked in rain and sad because of him only.
I replied,”Good evening Mr. Azriel. I am feeling much better at present and hopefully I will be at the office tomorrow.”
“I am quite impressed with you Miss Sara and I am in awe about it but you should be on leave tomorrow as you are still not well.”
“Don’t worry Mr. Azriel.”
My parents were giving me all sort of expressions watching both of us talk. I couldn’t bear him for now so I asked him,
“Mr. Azriel I think you shouldn’t worry much. I am all fine and I don’t want to miss the first day of my work. It was nice of you to come here despite being so busy working.” He didn’t say much and just gave me a smile and left but stopped at the door and said, "See you tomorrow then….Miss Sara. ”
