"Don't go!!"

~Time Skip~

After they took Austin away I ran to my car and drove to the hospital, it was really hard because my eyes were watering.

Once I got there I pushed past people and got to the front desk. "Hi, I'm here to see and Austin Davidson" I say quickly. "Austin Davidson is currently undergoing emergency treatment, so he will not be able to have any visitors at this moment." The lady says. I nod and she tells me to go wait in the waiting room. 'Emergency Treatment!!!!!!!' I think to myself.

~Time Skip~

It's been around 2 hours and I'm starting to get nervous, like what if something really bad happened?! Come on Eve! Don't think like that!

"Eve? Is there anyone in here named Eve?" I nurse says walking into to waiting area with a clipboard. I jump up and run over to her. "Yes that's me! Eve!"

"Perfect, do you know anyone named Austin Davidson?" She asks looking down at her clipboard. "Yes! Yes I do!" I say, hope lingering in my eyes. "Great! Austin has been asking for you. If you could follow me this way." I nod and begin to follow her down the long hallway to the elevator. As we step down maiden she begins to speak again.

"Earlier we gave Austin emergency treatment to remove a bullet in his left arm, we put him under anesthesia and we held off visitors til it wore off." I nod to show I was listening. "He broke his right wrist, right ankle and his Tibia(shinbone)." I nod again looking down at the ground. We walk out of the elevator onto the 3rd floor and down a long hallway. After a few turns we end up in front of Austin's room. I take a deep breath and walk in.

I look around and find Austin laying in the hospital bed staring at the ceiling. My eyes start to water as he looks over at me and smiles a weak smile. He sees a tear fall down my cheek and opens his good arm out for a hug. I slowly walk over and carefully wrap my arms around him making sure I don't hurt him.

I melt in his touch. He wraps his one arm around my back and rests his chin on my shoulder. I break down in tears soaking his shirt. "Why are you crying?" He chuckles a little pulling away. I wipe some of my tears away but they just keep falling. "I thought I was going to lose you." I say looking down at the ground.

"Hey" He grabs my chin and slowly lifts my face to make eye contact with me. "You know I would never leave you, right?" I nod looking into his eyes. He takes his thumb and wipes away the rest of the tears.

~Time Skip~

We talked for the best 2 hours but then the nurse said I had to leave. At this point I was so tired cause I haven't slept in over 24 hours. When I get home mom sees the shape I'm in and starts questioning me but then eventually let's me sleep before I tell her anything that happened. I jump on my bed and immediately fall asleep.

~Time Skip~

When I woke up I felt amazing, I had just gotten the best sleep ever. I look at the time and realize I slept 14 hours! I get up and mentally prepare because I know mom will question me about everything.

When I get downstairs I walk in the living room and see, "Jackson?" Jackson and mom both look over at me. "Oh honey! Your awake!" Mom says getting up and grabbing my face from both sides I smile then look over at Jackson. "Hi Eve." He says nervously. "No, you don't get to call me that anymore." I say getting a little angry. "Sorry Evelyn." He says looking down.

"Honey now you need to tell me what happened." Mom says bringing me over to the couch and setting me down. "Wait, what happened?" Jackson asks. "It's no of your business." I say in an annoyed tone. He just looks away.

"Well, everything was completely fine. We were hanging out, eating food, and watching Tv. We then decided to go to bed cause we were going to get up at 3 to do a little investigation cause his apartment is really haunted. And hour has past and I couldn't fall asleep so I got up to go on my phone but then someone started knocking on the door. I got up to go see who it was and it was my dad so I ran back to the Yk room and accidentally woke him up. I told him who was there and he went and grabbed his phone to call 911. Then dad like kicked the door down so Austin told me call the police and he would go hold my dad off til the police got there. And long story short Austin is in the hospital with a gunshot wound in to his left arm and a broken wrist, ankle and Tibia."

"Oh, I'm so so sorry." Mom says hugging me. I look over and see Jackson sitting there in shock. "Wow, I'm so sorry you had to go through that." He says almost like he is genuinely concerned. I roll my eyes and say, "No you're not.", under my breath. "Yes I am." He says still looking at the ground. "Well you shouldn't be saying sorry to that!" I yell. "You should be saying sorry for shutting me out of your life then saying that to me the night of the fight!" I say my eyes starting to well up with tears. "You said something too that night! And besides I didn't even mean it!" He yelled back. At this point mom had left cause she didn't want to have to hear us yelling at each other. "Well did you ever think that I might take it seriously! Cause sometimes I actually say that about myself and you saying that just makes me believe it even more!" He just stands there in silence. "You know, I wasn't even going to tell you this, but I might as well now." I say tears falling down my face.

"I broke our promise."
