I rang the door bell. The house helper opened the door, letting me in. I quickly ran upstairs still dazed by the beauty I met today. I freshened up and laid on my bed, a smile not leaving my lips and the feelings dancing in my head.
A little while later, I heard a rapping sound coming from the door. "Come in." Lo and behold, my sibling and cousin entered smiling sheepishly. What karnama did they do now?
(Deed.)
"Kya kia tum dono ne?" I asked Neil and Nishita.
(What did you two do?)
"Hum to masoom bache hai Bhai. Hum bhala kya karsakte hai." Nishita batted her eyes, faking her innocence.
(We are innocent children Brother. What can we do.)
I rolled my eyes and told them, "Bhonko jo bhonkne aye ho." Not beating the bush.
(Bark what you have come to bark for.)
(A/N: the English translation doesn't make much sense but it's quite understandable in Hindi.)
Neil lightly slapped her on her left shoulder, and said, "Hum ek trip pe janna chahte hai." They both had their attention on me.
(We want to go on a trip.)
"So, why are you asking me. Go ask the elders." I said, sitting straight on my bed.
"It's a family trip Bhai, we want you to tag along."
"What do I get in return?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Anything you want Bhai?" An idea popped up.
"Give me my watch back, you chor." I internally smirked. Finally I can get my watch back.
(Thief.)
"No fair, Bhai." He whined.
"Everything is fair, bro."
"Acha. Le lio." He huffed, while Nishita giggled slightly.
(Okay. You can have it.)
"So, what's the plan. Have you guys made an itinerary?" I gestured them to sit. They both jumped on the bed. Kiddos.
As if you're not?
"Not yet. We're just planning right now. Maybe we should visit Manali. We can start looking from there..." Nishita said, grabbing my laptop from the table.

"Beta, tumhare internship katam hone wali hai, so, humne socha kyun na kahi trip pe chalein." Bade Papa said, a warm protective smile raidiating from him.
(Child, your internship is about to finish, so, we thought why not go on a trip.)
"I'm okay with it Bade Papa, Badi Mumma."
"Yeh acha rahe ga. Waise bhi hume ghume huye kaafi der ho chuki hai." Kairav intervened.
(This is a great idea. Anyways we haven't travelled anywhere for a long time now.)
"Koi destination sochi hai?" Massi asked.
(Have you thought of a destination?)
"Nahi par karlengi. Abhi time hai iss sab ke liye."
(Not yet but we can decide. There is plenty of time left.)
"Dinner katam kr ke hum living room me yeh sab discuss karte hai, okay?" Bade Papa told, taking a sip of water.
(We can discuss all this in the living room after finishing dinner.)
"Sure." I replied, scraping the last bits and pieces of the sabzi from my bowl.
. . . .
"Anyone wants to go to a specific place?" Kairav Bhai asks, his laptop on his lap.
"Manali. We can go paragliding there. I want to try it so badly." Vansh Bhai sat right next to Kairav Bhai, snatching his laptop and typing something.
The next two hours were spent on looking for hotel, activities we wanted to do.
. . . .
The next morning, I saw Yuvaan and Kripa holding hands and talking about god knows what. They indeed looked like something was simmering between them. Mere so rupay gaye. I mentally cried.
I ambled to them and chirpily greeted them, "Good Morning! How's everything?"
The duo turned towards me surprised and they removed their hands collapsed together. "Hi! We're good, Aaru. How are you?"
"Never been better."
"If I may ask, are you together? Like... dating each other."
Out of nowhere, Paravi joined us. "Yeah, tell us." She winked at me. Chudrail.
"Yeah we're together. He asked me out a couple of days ago and I said yes." Kripa's cheeks turned red.
Yuvaan grabbed her hand and placed a kiss. "We were going to tell you guys. I don't want any guy having an eye on her. I want the world to know she's mine and I'm hers."
Paravi squealed. "Main jeet gaye!"
(I won!)
"Kya jeet gaye yeh?" Yuvaan asked me. I told him, "A bet. On you guys. She saw you together on your date and we made a bet to see if you guys are actually dating or not."
(What did she win?)
The on goers looked at us as we were aliens. We all smiled sheepishly ignoring the stares and headed to the Orthopaedics department.
