Sheik shuffles into his seat. Kakashi had been kind enough to buy him a seat for the Finale of the Chuunin Exam. It's front row. Must have cost him quite the Rupees. Bags of snacks in his arms, he sits down and notice that he is sitting next to Hinata who is sitting with her family. He waves at her and she shyly waves back. He looks at the arena and notice that Sasuke is missing. Well, Sasuke must be running late after Sheik had to wrestle him to bed because he was too strung up to sleep. Sheik did not wake him up because Sheik has his own training to do every morning.

Kakashi should be the one to take Sasuke to the stadium, anyway. Sheik is just a spectator.

The event opens up with a battle between Neji and someone from another village. Sheik watch as Neji easily and effortlessly put down his enemy with a few quick open palm jabs of his hands. His ear catch the voice of an adult male telling someone named Hanabi how Neji has the purest and strongest Hyuuga blood running in his vein. In his clan, he is a prodigy unlike any before him. A pity that he is in the Branch Family.

Kurama sneers, "All blood is the same once it leaves the body. What foolishness to state how one blood is purer over another,"

The next fight continues as Neji is allowed to go forward. The boy return to the box where all contestant sits. The next battle begin and Sheik hums, his mind thinking of the numerous ways he could take down the Shinobi. He knows that Hyuuga's seemingly simple methods of fighting actually hide a more complex concept. After all, the simpler a technique look, the harder it is to master. A true mastery of a technique means being able to use something simple for many situations.

Just look at Link and his bombs.

Kurama scoffs, "Yes...bombing oneself into the air to get to a higher vantage because Revali's Gale is out is such a mastery of the bombs,"

Well, Link never did claim to be smart. There is a reason why he's the bearer of Courage.

"Reckless stupidity more like,"

Thank Hylia for Mipha's Grace.

"Yes, yes, thank the Goddess and all that,"

Shino looks pissed that his opponent gives up so easily. Sheik chews on his octopus fried balls. He really need to get the recipes for these. As he watch Shikamaru go at it, he thought that the Sheikah would love to marry their daughters to the boy. He might looked lazy, but he has all the making of a Sheikah. If Purah is here, she might even trick the Nara Clan to give up their seeds to have Nara-Sheikah babies. Sheik shudders at the idea. He must never tell Purah about the genius Nara Clan. That way lies anarchy.

That boy that Kiba warned him about walks down to the arena. The crowd starts whispering. Since Sasuke is a rare Uchiha, everyone is eager to see if the boy will live up to the legends of his clan or if he will finally shame the defunct Uchiha Clan with failure. It is unfair for Sasuke but the world is never kind, especially when they are full of self-centered influential people whose every actions will be taken as the 'right' thing.

"The world is full of sheep and yet I am not allowed to eat any. Oh, the tragedy,"

Kurama is a fox and not a wolf.

"Talking about wolves, wonder what happened to that one that smells like a spirit? It disappeared,"

Sheik miss Twilight too.

"I'm telling you, it's Link. He has a wolf for a spirit animal,"

Sometimes Kurama has very strange ideas.

Sasuke finally shows up, just on time before he could be disqualified. The crowd starts getting rowdy. Sheik leans forward to watch as the boy, Gaara, starts to use sand manipulation to try and crush Sasuke. No wonder the boy was frantic for the whole last month. His life is on the line.
