Sheik is running, a younger boy under his arm as he leaps over rooftops. Behind him is a group of angry Shinobi, throwing sharp projectiles that he is ducking under.

How in the world did he end up running with a young boy of 9 under his arm, one might ask?

Well, Sheik had followed the Sandaime's advice on keeping his identity secret. He used a special makeup technique to hide his Eye of Truth and wrapping a headband around his temple for extra security. He also colored his hair black and wears green contact lenses to hide his blue eyes. The makeup is darker tan than his original skin color, adding an exotic flair to his appearance that also successfully hides his birthmark from Kurama. Instead of his traditional bun, he wears his hair partly wild and in a single braid down his back. This disguise was then strengthened against weather and water with special Sheikah setting powder.

But that aside, he had followed a caravan to enter Kaminari. To fund his journey, he offered to work for a short term with the owner of the caravan. He silently did his menial jobs, making sure to make himself as uninteresting as possible. He takes up the guise of an orphan wanderer hailing from the edges of Kaze, out to find a living for himself. When asked about his life prior to joining their caravan, he shares half truths.

He mentioned nothing about being a Sheikah.

He also decided to use his birth name, Naruto, to give to them. No surname. Not when he learned that Kumo once tried to kidnap his mother for her unique Uzumaki chakra.

Kaminari is an interesting nation. The tall mountains reminded him much of Kakariko. But there are a lot of military propaganda around. Almost all the populace have someone serving in the Daimyo's army or joining Kumo.

"Naruto!"

Sheik, now Naruto, makes a sharp turn, using the face of the Shinobi that suddenly appeared before him as a platform to jump off of. He sighs, still running. He makes sure that the boy he's carrying is safe.

The boy's name is Yoruichi. He's a son of the Daimyo with his favored concubine wife. Unfortunately, Yoruichi was born with a brilliant mind that cannot be hidden. This caused his siblings to be wary of him, especially his eldest brother from the Daimyo's official wife. The boy have been missing for three weeks and it was just Naruto's luck to find him stealing food from the caravan he's working with.

Naruto took 3 days to get the boy to fess up. Though he avoid interrogating the boy. Instead, he gained the boy trust by hiding him from the caravan owner and feeding him. Slowly but surely, Yoruichi confessed that he had ran from his kidnappers. A group of slave traders.

They called themselves slave traders but in reality they are human traffickers that sell anyone unfortunate enough to meet them to people like Orochimaru.

Though Naruto hid him as the caravan was already on the way to the capital, Yoruichi made the mistake of seeking a small breath of fresh air and revealed himself. Naruto had to then quit on the spot the moment Yoruichi failed to return to his hiding spot in the caravan, before chasing after the fading trail of the boy's kidnappers all the way to their temporary hideout.

Needless to say, Naruto got the boy out and are now running towards a Kumo Shinobi that Kurama said he sensed. Basically, another Jinchuuriki. Naruto isn't sure if handing Yoruichi to a Shinobi will help the boy. After all, the one who sold him to the human traffickers is possibly one of his many siblings. Could even be Heir himself. But there is little he can do to help the boy more than he already did.

Not to mention, he is pretending to be a civilian traveler who happens to be very agile and good at lock picking. It is why he is keeping his ability on the lower side. Behaving just like a very agile traveler who have been in some sticky situations. Something he have enough experience in when adventuring with Link.
