WE AREN'T DATING, by any means. it was just a kiss, that's it. after the whole fair encounter we had, it was awkward.
he didnt say he liked me, he just kissed me and i kissed him back. i didnt want to tell him i like him because 1) that's so embarrassing 2) what if he's just messing with me and 3) he probably didnt mean it.
i didnt know what we were after that. i was so confused, so i decided to take walk to town square to get my mind off these things. i already knew where i was going to head too.
"hi josie." i smile as i enter the cafe.
"oh hello dear!" her cheery smile appeared on her face like always, "i havent seen you in forever."
"im really sorry," i apologize sitting at the bar, "there was a lot going on."
"no worries," josie smiles, handing me my usual order, "are you doing anything fun today?"
"i guess," i respond, unzipping my backpack and taking out isaac's leather jacket.
"whose jacket is that?" she asked, curiously.
"it's isaac's, it ripped since he got into a fight." i reply, taking out my needles and threads.
i was fixing his jacket because i felt bad. i would just give it back to him as a gift. plus i knew how to sew and i wouldnt want him spending money on a whole new one.
"oh my," josie gasped, "is he okay?"
"i dont really know." i laugh anxiously.
she sighs at my response, "what do you mean?"
"we kissed last night," i say rather quietly.
"aren't you happy? that's great avery!"
"i am happy but he didnt say he liked me or anything, its awkward." i sigh, beginning to sew the jacket, "we havent even spoken in 2 days. we didnt even argue."
"he will tell you, i promise." josie reassures, grabbing my hands, "give it some time, dont rush it."
