It's three twenty-four AM. I'm still sitting on the roof. And I still think what happened to Hana was my fault. I knew she was too young. I knew she had a fake ID. I knew. And I still let her go.

My legs dangle over the edge as I stare down at the ground below. I'm around 30 floors high. The drop is most likely fatal.

Just one step.

"Anika?"

I jumped.

I turned around and saw Thomas.

"Oh... hey..." I said, turning back to face the city instead of Thomas. He sat down next to me and nudged my shoulder with his.

"You alright?" He asked.

"I'm fine."

"No, no you're not."

"If you know I'm not, why'd you ask?"

"I just wanted to know if you wanted to talk about it," He said and wrapped one arm around me. "It's not your fault, Anika. Please, don't blame yourself. I can't lose you too." I looked at him after that phrase.

What does he mean he can't lose me too? Has he lost someone before?

He saw the questionable look in my eyes and sighed. I could see his eyes becoming glassy.

"You alright?" I asked softly.

"Yeah... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that," He mumbled.

"It's alright," I whispered. "You don't have to talk about it." He smiled and his arm was still around me.

"I guess Minho didn't just forgive you, huh?" He asked.

"What made you think he would?" I asked. He chuckled slightly.

"I don't know, actually," He started. "I always just thought you hated each other to mask your feelings."

"Yeah, everyone seems to think that. Even Hana," I said.

"I mean, are you?" He asked. That felt like a pan hit me in the face.

"I- No," I said. Is it hot up here? It suddenly got REALLY hot. "Well- I'm not too sure how I feel about him. It's kinda mixed feelings."

He raised an eyebrow. "How so?"

"Sometimes he's this nice, calm guy and other times he's just... I don't know..."

"A Mean-hoe?"

"Yeah, a Mean-hoe." I laughed softly.

"But there are times that you've liked him?" He asked.

"I guess so. But he's just the same person that he was when I met him. He thinks I'm a bad influence. The arresting was an accident. I didn't mean to get her arrested," I explained.

"Didn't you get her suspended and got her in detention multiple times?"

"Maybe," I mumbled. "But that was in the past."

"I guess so," He said. "I'm guessing you're up here because you don't want to be near Minho?"

"Yep," I sighed. "Just like two more weeks or something with sharing a room with Minho. One of us won't survive and I'm betting on Minho."

"I'm pretty sure you'll murder him before Christmas," Thomas chuckled.

"Yeah, I probably will."

"If you don't want to sleep in your room tonight, you can always stay in the extra room in Newt and I's Hotel room," He suggested.

"Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to hear the two of you have sex, plus, I don't want to give him the satisfaction of sleeping in a quiet hotel room."

"Newt and I don't have sex," He said and I raised my eyebrow. "We don't always have sex," He corrected.

"You're very loud when you do, though."

"Shut up," He grumbled. "You don't get it though, Newt is like really pretty. Like his brown eyes remind me of chocolate milk and he's so soft and gentle when we're-"

"Thomas, I get you love Newt, but I don't want to hear about your sex," I interrupted. He realised what he was about to say and his face turned a shade of crimson.

"Right, sorry," He apologised. "Come on," He said, standing up. "It's almost four am. You need sleep." He helped me stand and I followed him down to our floor.

After a few minutes, we made it to our floor. Thomas's room was three doors down.

"You sure you'll be okay? With Minho and all? My offer still stands."

"I'll be alright, I'm sure you and Newt want some more alone time," I grinned. "Good night, Thomas, if you're gonna sleep."

"Night, Anika. Don't murder Minho, please."

"Can't make any promises." I opened the door with my key before walking in and closing the door behind me.
