Chapter 25: I hope you two realise everyone sees it

That night I was with Hana and the rest of the girls in her and Teresa's room. It was around eleven pm right now. My mind was still spinning from what happened before.

He kissed me.

He wasn't mad at me.

But he kissed me.

I know he was just trying to calm me down... but still.

I mean, I was mad at him for yelling at me but to be fair, getting Hana arrested was an accident and my fault.

"Anika?" Sonya said and it snapped me out of my own trance.

"Yes?" I asked, looking at her.

"You good there? Your face is all red and you seem to have zoned out on the best part of the movie," She said, popping a piece of popcorn into her mouth. Everyone was looking at me.

"Uh... mhm. I'm fine. Totally fine," I said, stammering a bit.

"That is one of the most unconvincing things you've ever said," Harriet said.

"And you've said many unconvincing things," Teresa added.

"Your face is as red as a tomato, what happened?" Sonya asked.

"Uhm... N-nothing," I stammered.

"Bullshit," Sonya said. "Spill." The five girls moved closer to me.

Minho

"Minho, what the shuck is going on with you? You're usually a pro at Mario Kart. Now you're shit at it," Newt commented when I ran off of the road... again.

A few minutes later I crossed the finish line at dead last when I usually finish first. Newt turned off the TV and he, Thomas and Aris faced me.

"What's going on with you?" Thomas asked, his legs crossed as Newt sat next to him. "And don't try any of that 'Nothing's wrong' bullshit."

"I kissed Anika," I blurted out, hoping they didn't hear me.

"You WHAT?!" Thomas almost yelled.

"In the bathroom?" Aris asked and we all looked at him.

"Yeah," I said. Newt and Thomas looked strangely at him.

"They were suspiciously close to each other," He explained.

"Oh, yeah, that makes sense. Why'd you only tell us now?"

"Because I was trying to calm her down."

"By kissing her?" Thomas asked.

"How does that work?" Newt asked.

"I read somewhere that it helped and nothing else I tried worked," I explained.

"Why'd you have to calm her down in the first place?" Aris asked.

"I don't think she wants me to talk about that. I also don't know very well."

"...Mhm," Newt said.

"I hope you know that Anika wants to murder you," Thomas said.

"Lovely," I responded. "Wait- she does?"

"Yes."

"Oh. Well, she didn't get mad at me... when I kissed her and all," I mumbled. Thomas mumbled something inaudible.

"What was that, Lov- I mean Thomas?" Newt asked.

"Nothing," He quickly said.

"I hope you two realise everyone sees it," I said.

"Sees what?" Newt asked.

"This," I pointed to them. "You two. It's so obvious that you two are in love. Newt almost called you love in front of us for god's sake. You're really bad at hiding it." Their faces immediately turned red.

"Oh... Well, don't tell anyone," Newt said.

"I think they already know, but whatever makes you happy, Isaac Newton," I said.

"Mean-hoe," Newt grumbled.
