After Josh returned the pass and gathered his stuff, we headed off to his locker.
Where is my locker?
Do I have a locker?
I looked around.
This is my first time in the hallway.
It's wider than my previous school, and with the broad windows, ample natural lights are drifting in.
After Josh put everything away, we headed to our next destination - the cafeteria.
Inside the student lobby, I noticed a container of colorful candies and snatched one. I dumped it inside my jacket. I may need it later - who knows.
Past the student lobby and into the cafeteria. I grunted lightly at the sight of students. As I predicted, it's loud, crowded, and obnoxious.
From the distance, I noticed Hailey, "Hailey! My baby!" I rushed towards her. I went in for a big hug. "Oh, I miss you."
It sucks how my toleration meter is alot shorter than other people's. It means if I don't give a shit, I'll say it in front of their faces. It's considered rude and people don't like to be around rude people. Whatever.
Hailey checks turned pink, "People are watching."
I crossed my arms, "Where were you the whole day?" I know where she was. "Why are you replying so slow to my texts?"
Her brows furrow together, "I was in class?"
"So?" I noticed the set of eyes at the table. Some of them looked familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. I pouted, "You replaced me?"
One of the girls intervened, "You two know each other?"
My eyes narrowed at the girl in a futile attempt to figure out where I met her. "Yes."
She placed it in a hand"Hi! I'm Serena Garrison."
Serena.
Serena.
Sere-
It's her.
The girl with the two minions. I looked behind her - Paisley and Riley.
Paisley, Riley, and Hailey.
Goddamit.
I knew this was going to happen!
Hailey is too foolish for her own good to not know she is about to become someone's minion.
"Did I ask?" I responded.
Hailey pulled my shirt, "Crystal."
"What? I didn't ask for her name. You know I'm not the smartest person, I can only hold so much memory, and I'm not wasting my memory space for someone insignificant."
I know I'm asking for a fight. Selena is smart, she'll back up and understand the not-so-subtle message. You don't fuck with my friends, and they certainly aren't anyone's minions.
Serena's face turned red. "Insignificant?"
I smiled, "Yes, insignificant as in - talking to you right now is wasting my time. Stay away from my baby." I hang my arms around Hailey to pull her away from the bad apples.
I mean, I'm not that good of an apple either but at least I won't use her.
Serena scoffed, "She wants to hang out with us."
Is she talking back to me?
"Serena," Paisley hisses slowly. "She is Crystal Martinez."
Well, would you looky here. The follower is the smart one.
