How dare that stupid fucking piece of shit take them. How dare he even lay a hand on them. That Manticore was gonna fucking die and she's gonna enjoy killing him.
"It's useless sneaking up on me, Percy so don't try to." The boy walked out from the wall he was hiding behind. He still didn't trust her but they needed to get the siblings to safety.
She didn't even turn to look at him, she looked around the area they were in before spotting a splash of red on the wall next to her. Blood.
Akira's eyes grew dark and her lips turned into a snarl, she knew that blood, it was Nico's, she could smell it. Before she could stop herself, Akira's fist pounded into the wall, one blow and the wall caved in.
"I swear to god if he laid one hand on them I'll carve his eyes out and feed them to him." Luckily for her, the wall she had just punched gave her a perfect vision of the kids who stared fearfully in front of them.
"Jackson," he straightened up like a soldier when his name left her lips, it was mostly out of fear, "get to the kids, tell them to go with you and whatever they do, hit, scream, bite, whatever do not bring them back here."
He nodded and uncapped a pen that turned out to be a celestial bronze sword. They both moved towards the kids, Akira sensed the presence of Thorn but didn't call him out, they needed the element pf surprise and needed to get the kids as far as way as possible fast.
Once they got in front of the siblings Percy talked to them while Akira searched.
Before Percy could react Akira stomped on the ground and ghostly hands delivered a long sword, about the same size as his but this one looked to be one of a kind, it was black and looked to be retractable. Akira deflected a spike that was going to hit the raven haired boy and held the sword under thorns neck.
"One step, just one, and I will cut your head off and drink you dry." Her words were dripping with venom as she stared at thorn with dead eyes (literally).
"Oh please, what will you do?" Akira tilted her head to the side while they had a staring match, brown and blue against red and grey, Thorn glanced away first but before he could try and grab at her, Akira flipped a small lever that was on the hilt of her sword and blackish purpleish flames immediately surrounded the entire weapon. Hellfire.
Thorn growled loudly as the flame burned the underside of his neck, Percy just stood there, stunned, as he watched the girl twirl her sword. She looked as if she had been fighting with swords her entire life, Percy felt like Akira didn't even need the weapon to beat this monster, the sheer amount of rage she felt at the moment would be enough.
"Percy, take them," he didn't move, "Jackson! Get the kids and haul ass out of here unless you feel like dying today too!"
Percy took both kids by the hand and tried to run through the broken wall again but Thorn recovered quickly from Akira's previous attack, he got caught by surprise, it won't happen again (it will).
Something cut through the air faster than any of them could register and had grazed the raven heads shoulder embedding itself between his clothes and the wall. He slashed his sword but hit nothing but a wandering fly. Thorn's could laugh echoed through the entire hall and sent shivers down the kids spines.
"Yes, Perseus Jackson," Dr. Thorn said. His accent mangled the J in his last name. "I know who you are."
He tried to free himself from the wall but he was pinned by some kind of spike—a black dagger-like projectile about a foot long. Akira just knew that had poison when she looked at the way the boys face scrunched up in discomfort and concentration, she admired the way he forced himself to stay awake.
