Coriolanus Snow was nervous.

He walked into the massive room to watch the Hunger Games with his classmates and could only hope that Soteria was going to follow his advice. All he could think was at least some of the tributes died before making it to the arena.

They all watched as the remaining tributes were led to the room and stood in a circle. He heard everyone gasp when they saw something hanging from the rocks. It was Marcus. Coryo looked over to Sejanus with a horrified look on his face.

Sejanus gasped and stood up "YOU ARE MONSTERS, ALL OF YOU." He then walked off as everyone else looked at him stunned. Coryo turned his attention back to the screen which was counting down before the games would start.

He watched Soteria eye Jessup and Reaper. Mentally thinking, please don't do what I think you want to do. He watched as Soteria turned slightly away from the Cornucopia and smiled. The bell went off and Soteria turned the rest of the way and ran.

Even though she was fast, the girl from four Coral and one of the others were still chasing her. He tensed when Soteria ducked to avoid narrowly getting hit with a throwing knife. He let out a sigh of relief as she slid down the hole he had told her about and into the stands.

Coryo glanced at Highbottom and Dr. Gaul and he noticed that both of them looked at each other in amazement. Flickerman looked at the screen stunned "well, this is an interesting development, it seems that the bombings have made it easier to hide."

Now that Soteria was relatively safe, he could relax for a little while. Coriolanus kept his face blank as he watched as Soteria found a place to sit down and stay safe.

The blonde watched as Soteria played with the compact he gave her. He watched as she sat there listening to make sure that no one was coming. Meanwhile, the pack was stalking. Coriolanus stared in shock as Lamina the girl from seven cut down Marcus as a way of mercy.

Coriolanus kept his eyes on Reaper, the boy from 11 who was arguably quite a threat. He watched as Reaper marched in the stands hunting for tributes and could only breathe relief that Soteria wasn't available. He then watched as hours later, Reaper came back to the Cornucopia carrying his district partner who the blonde mentor knew had tuberculosis.

Reaper walked away and Dill was sent water but didn't acknowledge them and the capital watched as Treech walked out of hiding and took the bottles before disappearing again.

That night, Dr. Gaul called Coriolanus to her office. Coryo gulped as he walked in and then looked for the woman whose hair looked like it had been electrocuted. Dr. Gaul looked at Coriolanus "your friend needs to be stopped."

Coriolanus looked at her confused before she motioned to the screen where Sejanus was in there laying bread crumbs over Marcus's body. Coryo sighed and headed to the arena knowing that he needed to get Sejanus out of there.

Coryo walked into the arena looking around at the eerie place hating it. He ran into Sejanus and looked at him "we have to go Sejanus."

"No," Sejanus spoke looking horrified and angry. "Not without Marcus." Coryo fought the urge to roll his eyes at his friend because didn't he want to you know stay alive.

He decided to give his friend a couple of minutes but that all ended when they heard yelling. Coryo turned to see some of the tributes coming after them. Sejanus and Coryo took off running back towards the door.

"Coryo," he heard someone call from behind him. He turned to see Sejanus being grabbed by Bobbin. Coryo grabbed a piece of the rubble and swung at Bobbin. The blow knocked him off of Sejanus only for Coryo to hit him once more in the head killing him.

Coriolanus pulled Sejanus out of the arena keeping the other tributes inside. Coriolanus stared at the door for a moment after it closed replaying Bobbin's death. Coriolanus Snow realized that he didn't feel disgusted no he felt powerful and almost invincible.

He shook his head to clear his thoughts and headed back to the viewing room where they were keeping count of the dead. The pictures grayed out were Bobbin from District 8, and Marcus from District 2.

Everyone else was still alive although Coriolanus noticed that some wouldn't last much longer namely Dill from 11. As the screen turned to Soteria who was still hiding in the tunnels, Coryo let out a breath of relief that she was alright and still alive.

But there was still a long way to go and there was no guarantee Soteria would survive.
