Castiel's p.o.v

A huge part of him thought they should go home. And that part only grew once they topped the stairs, Dean moving a bit slower than him to make it to the top. The house was chaos, blood splattered all over the walls and covering the floor, too many people now inside the house for guns to be effective, fists and knives flying between everyone. Cas stepped over Cyrus' body. He felt a little bad for that, the kid never showing any interest in anything his family did, spoiled by his father and family. But he stepped over him and stuck to the walls, holding his gun pointed at the ground. He leaned down to two bodies at the base of the stairs, picking up knives from them, quickly handing one to Dean.

He was seeing a few of his men scattered on the floor, but not an alarming number, and he didn't see any of his siblings laying on the floor so that was a good sign so far. He saw Gabe running down the stairs, and he caught him by the arm, "Cas!" He said relieved. "We've been fucking looking for you everywhere!" He glanced over Dean seeing the state he was in, "Jesus christ." He muttered out.

"Thanks." Dean said sarcastically.

"Jacob's dead. What's the status on everyone else? Where the hell is Eldon?" Cas said staring Gabe down.

"That's where I was going. Balth saw him running outside. He's the last one here unless Roscoe shows up a day early." Gabe said, looking them over and seeing their worried faces that Eldon was on the run. "Don't worry, we're a mile back from the road, and he's taken a few shots, I'd say."

"And the rest of the men?" Cas asked, glancing around at all the bloodshed.

"What you see here is the tail end of it until we do another perimeter sweep to flush out any stragglers." He looked between the two of them, "Well fucking go after him!" He said excitedly before thumping Dean on the shoulder, "Happy hunting big guy." He said with a smirk.

Dean gave him a tight smile before looking to Cas, who nodded towards the door. They worked their way around the last few knife fights, a few shots ringing out still from outside or elsewhere in the house. He couldn't believe how fast everything was moving, he knew it wouldn't be slow or drawn out by any means, but they really caught the fuckers off guard. They only expected him to come in Rambo style after Dean, and once they'd subdued him, thought they were safe and idiotically let their guard down.

They made their way to the front steps, looking around. "You think he would have headed for the road? Or maybe the woods?" Dean asked, looking towards the long drive.

"Eldon wouldn't go for the road. It's too open and puts him in a vulnerable position. I'd say he's hoping he can make it deep enough in the woods to hide out for the night." Cas said, looking around to the side of the property, the woods behind the mansion.

Dean gave a tight nod, "Let's hurry before he gets too deep, I don't know how much I got in me right now."

Cas nodded, taking off at a jog around the mansion. They rounded the corner and took off across the expansive back yard, Dean not as quick as he usually is on the treadmill, Cas having to slow down considerably for him. As they broke the tree line, Dean started cursing, Cas looking him over as Dean was watching his feet. He forgot Dean was without shoes. But there wasn't any time to find a fix for that. Dean just gritting his teeth and forging ahead.

Eldon couldn't have made it far if he was just spotted heading this way, especially with a few gunshot wounds. His head start couldn't be enough of an advantage. But if they didn't find him soon enough, Cas would be pulling everyone out here that could crawl to find the man. He wouldn't let one more day pass with that man still breathing.

Cas stopped to listen to their surroundings now that they were far enough away from the house for all that noise to be gone. He strained his ears as Dean tried to control his breathing and listen as well. He heard something ahead and to the right, he motioned to Dean the direction he wanted to move, Dean just giving him a slow nod as he moved to follow him.

They walked for several moments towards the sound Cas had heard before he heard from behind him, "There's my darlin', come to play."

He spun around with his gun held high to see Eldon with a knife pressed to Dean's throat. Dean rigid in his arms and still breathing hard, from the epipen, the exhaustion, or his anxiety of Eldon having hands on him, Cas didn't know. He'd take a guess at all three. "Your whole family, all your men are dead, Eldon. Give it up, and we won't cut your dick off and shove it down your throat."

Eldon looked around them, trying to figure out his next move, Cas figured if he only came at Dean with a knife that he must not have a gun anymore. He was eyeing Dean's shoulder holsters, but he couldn't risk moving the knife from Dean's neck and open himself to an attack. Eldon must have knocked Dean's gun he was holding to the ground, but Dean looked to Cas as he brought his own knife up the front of him.

"Eldon, just let me go." Dean said to the man behind him.

Eldon brought his mouth to Dean's ear, "Now darlin', you know you're mine, right? Don't you want me to take you home? I made a special little medicine all for you, so you don't have the same problem we ran into last time we had our fun. Don't that sound nice sugar?"

Cas squinted one eye, trying to get a better shot lined up on Eldon, but unless he wanted to risk hitting Dean, there was nothing he could really do.

Dean looked over Cas with a small smile. "I don't belong to you anymore." He said to the man behind him.

"You never stopped being mine sugar. I know I left a lasting impression on you. All your guards at your little villa were sure to report to us about poor little Dean's nightmares. Or his little suicide attempt." He kissed at Dean's hair, "So happy that didn't work out for you darlin', I would have missed you so bad."

Dean slowly turned his knife in his hands before bringing one arm up to snap the knife away from his neck, the other punching behind him, the knife driving into Eldons stomach.

Eldon doubled over grabbing at the knife, but it was embedded in him to the handle. Dean turned, grabbing the knife handle and slashing it across his belly in hard jerks. Eldon fell to his knees as Dean pulled the knife from the mans torso, Eldon trying to hold his guts inside of him, a few viscous pieces spilling around his fingers.

Dean kneeled in front of him, grabbing Eldon by his cheeks as he stared at him. "I do not belong to you! I never belonged to you! You will die, and I will leave your bones out here for the rats and crows to pick at. I will live!" He shouted in Eldons face. "My master is Castiel Novak, and I fucking love him!" Eldon sagged and Dean dropped him back to the ground.

Cas lowered his gun, making his way to them but keeping some space for Dean to do what he needed to do.

"I hope hell is fucking real and I hope you're thrown in the deepest darkest pit and tortured for eternity." Dean whispered out to Eldon, the light starting to leave his eyes as he bled out on the forest floor. "After today, I won't even fucking think of you ever again. Your family, your name, your legacy, your memory. Everything is dying here today." Dean brought his knife up and brought it down to Eldon's chest, the man not even screaming out just opening and closing his mouth like a fish as blood pooled in his mouth and started to spill out the sides. Dean brought the knife out of his ribs and slammed it back into him again and again, his hand getting covered in gore, by about the fourth stab Eldon was definitely dead, but Dean kept going and Cas let him.
