"This is great news." Grover exclaimed, every was happy for the Katz girl. Herself in disbelief that she knows who her mother is now. She'll have to move all her stuff into cabin 10, where all her other half siblings live. "Do you need help moving your stuff, because after we gotta get straight to training?" Luke asked her.
The good news gave them all cheerful spirits especially after
A bit overwhelmed from the last 5 minutes of her life, Anthea just gave him a slight nod. Once they are lunch Luke walked her over to his cabin and Thea's now old cabin.
"Thanks for helping Luke." She thanked him more for everything rather than just her stuff, in the short time they both knew one another, they both had this mutual sibling bond feeling. "Any time, we've gotta look out for each other."
They moved all her belongings to her new bed in Aphrodite's children's cabin, number 10. "You ready for training?" Luke asked her as they made their way back to the group. Everyone moving towards the training grounds where each of them will help anthea and show her their normal training routines.
"Yeah, Thanks for all the help guys." Annabeth took Anthea's arm in hers and walked in row with the Aphrodite girl. Both of the girls in front of the three boys. Almost at the training grounds, Thea thought about her father, she wouldn't of been here, alive, if it wasn't for her father's sacrifice. A pouted look planted itself of the little girls face.
Annabeth noticed her sudden changed demeanour, "hey you alright?" The Katz girl just nodded hoping Annabeth would get the idea, and hopefully leave it at that. But Annabeth was stubborn and caring. "Are you sure, you can tell me anything" Anthea knew Annabeth would be her new best friend, but she wasn't sure if she was ready to talk about her dad just yet.
"Um, it's just my dad, that's all... I'm ready for my first training session though, can we start with archery?" The Katz girl diverted the topic, knowing how fresh the wound of her father is.
"Ok, right, you started with archery when trying to get claimed so this should be a breeze." Annabeth explained to her leading Anthea to where the bow and quivers where. Both girls picked up one each and stood their ground in front of the target, Annabeth and Thea raised their bow and arrows and aimed to hit the bullseye right in the centre of the target.
One by one the girls let go of the arrow and it shot through the air piercing the dragon looking target. Annabeth's landed right in the middle and Thea's right beside hers, just off the bullseye.
After a few more rounds after that and many shot arrows both girls could confidently say their shot was on point, when Annabeth shot on target Thea would slice the arrow in two right after.
Next was one on one fighting, with Luke, all this training with her friends brought a smile to the young girls face. "You ready, to fight against the best swordsmen at camp?" Luke asked her in a joking tone, both were ready at least Thea was.
"First the stance, on foot in front of each other and arms like your about to box someone, like a kangaroo." Thea followed his instructions well and held her dagger in her hand. "Ok perfect, now, fight, come at me with your best moves." He instructed the 9 year old.
Thea grabbed her dagger and started trying to at least cut a small scar on his arm but Luke was better and far more experienced, "your doing well, but you need to read the opposition. What's their weakness? When you find that use it and destroy them." To told her.
Anthea kept throwing swipes and swings of her dagger at him, and at one point she spun around distracting Luke, amazed she used that in her fighting and caught him off guard, slashing his arm. Blood started pouring down slowly, Luke didn't mind, he was proud at her and her work, he taught her well.
The last thing she was going to be learning was magical healing with Grover. "Hey Grover" Thea made her way towards Grover and where they would be working. Starting off small for their first project, Grover got a small frog to heal. The little fella had a small cut across him stomach.
"Do we have to start on such a...slimy animal?" She asked Grover questioning her choices to learn this, even though she didn't get much of a choice.
"Sorry Thea, it was the easiest animal, everyone starts with a frog." That made her feel slightly better, however though she still felt quite irked. With that they started tending to the animal.
"Ok, you ready?" He asked and she just nodded her head. Grover gave her the instructions and right away she took in all his information and started to take care of the poor frog. "Ok, now you get the needle and thread the stitch in and see up his abdomen.
Focusing really hard she thread the needle and started sewing up the frogs injured little body. "I did it" a bright smile was seen on the katz girl and a proud smile was placed on Grover's face. They didn't start with the magical part yet because that's extra tricky especially for Anthea's age.
"Ah, Grover, Anthea. Pleasured to formally meet you, sorry I didn't make an appearance yet, I had business to attend to. Grover could you give us a few moments then you can have Anthea all back." Chiron instructed Grover to which he obliged right away.
"How are you feeling? About it all." He asked her, wanting to know so far that everything was well especially after their crazy night earlier on. "Thanks, it's all a bit crazy so far, but I have great new friends to help me." She explained to him
"I hope all the kids have been welcoming and your settled in nicely, especially from the Aphrodite children, your brothers and sisters." Chiron asked politely To which she just nodded her head, everyone was beyond kind and she loved her friends despite knowing them all of two seconds.
"Well if you need anything, I'll always be around to help to guide or advise you. Ask around if ever you need help." With a smile and a nod he was already galloping off leaving Anthea to wonder where her friends had gone.
Nothing she didn't have to worry about for long though, Grover was seen walking back to her.
"You ok?" He asked while they walked back to the others. She replied with a simple yes and a smile on her face.
"I think I'll really like this place." She smiled at Grover.
