Chaos in High School

POV: Ashwini

Date: August 10th, 2026

Ashwini was walking with Melody, Emily, and Athena outside to eat lunch.

"Hey, you wanna eat lunch together?" she asked.

"Couldn't hurt," Melody shrugged.

"Sure!" Emily said enthusiastically.

"Eh, why not," Athena sighed.

Ashwini then walked over to a large tree which provided shade during the daytime and cover during rain. She could also chase friends around since there was a solid amount of space, a great spot with just no one to take it.

Perfect.

"Guys! Let's eat over here!" Ashwini yelled over to the others.

Suddenly, in a sort of cruel irony, another group also started heading toward the same spot. And of all people it included...

"Really? You?" Melody grumbled.

"EBAY HAIR!" Ashwini screamed, pointing at Jayden. "AND hi Samuel.... And other short guy."

"Also you still owe me two bucks," Jayden said, gesturing in Melody's direction

"Which you'll have to pry from my cold, dead hands," she replied.

"HELP! ATHENA! PLEASE!" a girl pleaded, running at an alarming pace toward the bewildered and genuinely concerned group.

"Nova, is it that creep again?" Athena said, agitated.

"Oh hi, Johnny!" Jayden called.

"Oh noooooooooooo," Nova whined.

"EYYYY JOHNNY!" Samuel screamed, after breaking eye contact with a disgusted Ashwini.

"EYYY!!" the short guy who she was glaring at yelled back

Ashwini sighed, "Since we both want this spot, why don't we sit here together? Okay?"

Everyone agreed, some more willing than others.

"I AM NOT SITTING WITH THAT BITCH WHO'S TRYING TO HIT ON MY SISTER!" Athena hissed.

"Oh my god," Nova sighed, "Athena, I'm older, let me act like it. Also, I like your friends and I don't mind the Johnny guy."

Eventually, everyone sat down. First Ashwini, then Samuel next to her, grinning. Athena then sat on the other side of Ashwini, dragging Nova down next to her. That creep was looking at Nova weirdly so Melody sat next to her which caused Emily to sit next to Melody which Nova thanked them for. Next to Samuel, was Jayden(ew, ugly), and next to him was 'Johnny' aka the creep and the short guy.

"Hey, Samuel!" some guys smiled at Samuel.

"Who are they?" Ashwini queried her brother.

"My new friends!" He grinned back.

"Of course they are," she sighed.

"AJAY! SAATHVIK! ALI! OVER HERRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

They all sat down, Saathvik next to the short guy and Ajay next to Saathvik. Ajay nodded to Ashwini in acknowledgement and Ashwini did the same with a smile. Meanwhile, Ali scooched next to Saathvik.

"Hey Ashwini!" Lotus yelled, coming from behind and hugging her.

"Sup Lotus?" She answered back.

"Can I sit here?" she asked.
