POV: Ali

GODDAMN HE WAS TIRED!
Ali sighed, looking at Johnathan legitimately flop on the bed. Jayden was awfully quiet, staring at his phone texting, and Vishwath looked pissed.
"Yo, you guys wanna talk?"
"Sure," Johnathan yawned.
"Eh." Jayden sighed.
"Fine." Vishwath said.
"So," Ali started, breaking the ice. "How's Melody, Jayden?"
"The usual- chaotic but nice," Jayden replied tiredly. "What about Ashwini, Vish?"
Vishwath exhaled sharply. "Not great. She's been hanging out with Athena more than me."
"I told you! She still likes Athena!" Jayden hissed.
"Dude! No," Ali sighed. "She's Athena's first and best friend in this school. They're just close!"
"True," Jayden said. "But still. I think you're overreacting a bit as well."
"No matter how many times I tell her I stop, she just doesn't!" Vishwath scoffed.
"...You are aware she's not an object, right?" Johnathan added, tired and annoyed from Vishwath's ranting.
"Yes, yes." Vishwath sighed, "Of course I am! However, even when I hit her she doe-"
"YOU HIT HER?!" all three of them said at the same time.
"Jayden, you don't?" Vishwath asked.
"Of course not! And if I do, it's not to injure her- just to joke around! And both of us do that- Why the hell would you hit her with the intent of-"
"I don't intend to hurt her!" Vishwath yelled, "I'm not a fuckin monster! I just want her to actually listen to me for once!"
"By fucking hitting her?" Johnathan said, looking pissed.
Ali then saw Jayden starting to record the conversation.
"So, basically." Jayden started, "You hit Ashwini when she doesn't listen to you."
"AND-" Ali added, "You don't want her speaking at all to her best friend!"
"To you," Johnathan mumbled, "she's just an object?"
"NO! OH MY GOD!" Vishwath screamed, "YOU GUYS DON'T FUCKING GET IT! I LOVE HER AND I WANT HER TO LOVE ME BACK BUT SHE DOESN'T SHE JUST DOESN'T! SO YES, I TRY TO FORCE HER! WHAT ABOUT IT?"
"...I'm gonna ask Melody about this," Jayden said, exasperated.
"I'll talk to Emily," Ali murmured.
"I think I'll ask Nova some stuff," Johnathan grumbled.
"Why, it's working, we're still together." Vishwath asked.
"No.. it's just.. Well, just to make sure it's working," Ali explained.
"Eh, fine whatever. Night guys..."
