Chaos in High School

~*Chapter 12*~

POV: Ashwini

Date: September 15th, 2026

She'd been avoiding her feelings for long enough. Ashwini liked Athena and she just needed to figure out how to tell her otherwise it would drive her CRAZY for the rest of her life. Once Ashwini had the motivation to get out of bed, she skimmed through her closet and decided on a white collared shirt under a black sweater on top of mud-colored cargo pants. She also wore butterfly hair clips cause, why not?

After getting to school and greeting her friends, the first two classes passed by quite quickly. In science, Robinson let the class listen to music on the speaker. Most of the time was spent screaming the lyrics of The Wellerman, Never Gonna Give You Up, and other ✨ ICONIC ✨ songs(including a shit ton of Alan Walker) with Melody and Emily. Math was confusing, as normal. Now it was time for Visual Arts, she had this class with Athena, unfortunately for her though, Athena was partnered with Nova and her with Vishwath. It was a nice class, hearing Vishwath's dumbass jokes somehow made her laugh as they painted together.

Finally, the bell rang. It was lunch when she might have the chance to confess. As she noticed Athena in the hallways, she realized that might be a good time to tell her.

Wait. Actually, she thought, you're always with your other friends and you could get rejected in front of them, it's a bad idea.

Ashwini then decided to confess in Study Hall instead, deciding to catch up to her and talk about other stuff. Lunch went by quickly because Melody and Jayden were screaming about Melody fucking up a croissant.

"HOW THE FUCK DID YOU FUCK UP A CROISSAINT?!" Jayden screeched.

"Y'know-" Melody tried to interject.

"L-LIKE EVERYTHING-"

"It-"

"EVERYTHING-" Jayden hissed

"IT IS- IT IS POSSIBLE-"

"IT TASTes EVeRyTimE tHE SaME!!" Jayden yelled.

The group paused in awkward silence for a moment.

"no- NOOOO" Melody shouted in defeat

"THE FUCK?" Ashwini shrieked, "Jayden ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?"

Emily sighed, having completely given up on life. "What the hell Jayden. 'It tastes everytime the same.' ARE YOU ON DRUGS?"

"I HAD THREE BOXES OF COCAINE THIS MOrNIng Emily," Jayden replied immaturely.

Soon the lunch bell rang, and Ashwini had P.E. right now.

Great with the perverted bitch himself.

Ashwini then dragged Emily to P.E. as she continued to scream at Jayden with Nova and Athena following not far behind. They then were allowed to pick their partners and Ashwini, not wanting to make Maddy feel left out, chose her. They both decided to play hockey and as they aggressively hit the puck, they were talking and realized they had a lot more in common than expected.

Meanwhile, Nova and Johnathan had paired up, but only because he kept on nagging her too. The two had chosen basketball and Johnny kept on flexing about how good he was at it, showing her all kinds of cool tricks and stuff, however, Nova legitimately couldn't care less.

Athena and Emily had teamed up to play volleyball, and both of them were good at it, Emily kept spiking the ball and they had gotten a solid amount of rallies as Athena kept the ball in the air after Emily's violent hits.

Samuel, Ajay, and Lotus had teamed up however, in the end, Samuel had joined Maddy and Ashwini since Ajay and Lotus kept flirting with each other.

"Next time I see you two I'm bringing pepper spray," Samuel had said before leaving. "Those two kept flirting with each other, so I'm joining you guys."
"Wait seriously?" Ashwini asked.

"What were they saying?" Maddy asked.

"Ajay was like Lotus, you're so cute," Samuel sighed, rolling his eyes as Ashwini gagged.

"EUGH!" Maddy yelled.

Ashwini was now curled up on the floor sobbing, both from cringe and disgust.

"Why couples gotta be like that tho?" Ashwini shuddered.

Samuel shrugged as he grabbed a hockey stick and joined the girls. P.E. then ended with Ashwini and Maddy dying of laughter on the floor because of Samuel's accurate representation of the two flirting. Ashwini then has History in which she sits next to Nova, non-stop teasing her about Johnny.

"Come on!" she whisper-exclaimed, "You know he likes you."

"Honestly, he's kind of ugly and weird so," Nova sighed, tucking a hair behind her ear and Johnny waved to her across the classroom.

"But you guys would be really cute together!!" Emily whispered from behind.

"Eugh... No," Athena hissed.

"So anyways those are the main causes of World War 1." Ms. Pak sighed, turning around, "CAN YOU BOTH GET A ROOM PLEASE?"

Ms. Pak had been getting increasingly annoyed at Ajay and Lotus's desperate flirting. At this point, everyone in the class knew.

"Hey Lotus, " Ajay whispered, "I was supposed to find x, but I'm glad I found u instead."

Soon History was over and it was time for ELA. WHY IS GRAMMAR SO GODDAMN CONFUSING?

Like what are 'Quantifiers'? Grammar had to be Ashwini's worst subject. She didn't understand ANYTHING IN IT. She was honestly so glad when it was over. Now the last period of the day, Hindi. She understood it perfectly, just couldn't speak it very well.

"Ashwini," Ms. Kaur called, "Apaka kya naam hai?"

Ashwini then answered "Mera naam Ashwini hai."

The teacher then looked at her for a minute before nodding.

The bell rang and it was now time for Study Hall. Ashwini had been the first one out of the class and was waiting outside of Graphic Design for Athena, and as soon as she came out, Ashwini dragged her to the bathroom.

"The hell?" Athena asked.

"Athena," Ashwini started, "I like you, and it's fine if you don't like me back but I just couldn't handle not telling you anymore."

Athena then stared at her for a moment or two before whispering.

"I'm sorry but I don't like you in that way Ashwini."

Those words crushed her world. Ashwini knew that there was a high chance Athena didn't like her back but she'd been hyping herself up the whole day just to be shot down.

"Can we still be friends?" Athena asked.

She then looked at her, faking a smile "Of course, just wanted to get it off my chest..."

She then ran out of the bathroom, before Athena could see her cry. Unfortunately for her though, she slammed into someone.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry." She apologized through her tears.

"Ashwini?"

She then looked up to see Maddy looking up at her, worriedly. Maddy then hugged her friend as Ashwini cried all the tears she'd been holding in.
