Chaos in High School

~*Chapter 19*~

POV: Vishwath

Date: November 20th, 2026

Vishwath woke up, excited for school. Ever since he realized he had a crush on Ashwini, he couldn't wait to get to see her again. He did his morning routine and chose a normal outfit- A white t-shirt, black cargo pants, and a navy half-zip sweatshirt.

He sped onto the bus, looking for his friends. He spotted Saathvik and Johnny.

"Eyyy Johnny!" Vishwath said.

"Hey Vishwath," Johnny replied groggily.

He looked outside and noticed Samuel and Ashwini biking to school. He figured from experience that Lotus was blowing kisses as Ajay, as usual.

If only Ashwini did the same to me!

Soon, they arrived at school. Melody and Jayden were, as usual, bickering about some stupid shit. However, unlike previous times, they were arguing with Emily and Ali as well.

"Your FRIEND doesn't have the mental strength to caramelize onions," Melody stated.

"Your LOVER thinks it takes five to ten minutes to caramelize onions!" Emily retorted. Jayden shrugged.

"WHO THE FUCK CARAMELIZES ONIONS??? HAVE YOU SOCIOPATHS FORGORTTEN APPLES ARE A GODDAMN THING?!" Ali yelled.

"...are you saying you think caramelizing onions means putting caramel on onions?" Nova asked, concerned.

"SEE?" Melody said triumphantly.

The dumbasses couldn't argue much longer, however, since the bell rang. Vishwath walked to science with Ashwini, Nova, and Athena, who kept glaring at him. Surprisingly, the class was quite boring- Ms. Robinson was lecturing the class about the types of rocks, what each was made out of, and the structures of each.

Next was math, which was actually fun since they got to do a Fillomino puzzle(which was apparently a thing). Vishwath kept asking Ashwini to help him with it, despite the answer being quite obvious and also her very obviously annoyed expression.

Then it was P.E., where everyone was able to play dodgeball. It was quite fun, as Vishwath was the most valuable player, but aside from that nothing much else happened.

Lastly it was lunch. Vishwath decided to walk with Ashwini, Maddy, Nova, Melody, and Athena outside. Since Athena and Nova had to use the restroom, and everyone else decided to meet outside, however, he and Ashwini, mostly Ashwini though, were just waiting for her. Vishwath decided to try his luck.

"Hey Ashwini," he started. "I like you."

"Wait what?" she said.

"Yeah."

The two simply said nothing in awkward silence for a minute or so.

"Well," Ashwini said, "I guess I like you too?"

"Great!" he said.

Despite the happy news, something about her reply seemed off to him.

Eh, not like it matters anyway.
