Chaos in High School

~*Chapter 10*~

POV: Maddy

Date: September 14th, 2026

 Maddy got up to the sound of her annoying ass alarm. As she struggled to set it off, she realized that the weekend was over. It was time to go to her new school.

Shit. I can't sleep in. I shouldn't be late either, that's a pretty bad impression.

Maddy then speedily got out of bed and threw together a quick outfit. A gold necklace with the letter "M" on it she was also wearing a pastel sweater with large stripes of color including light pink and dark blue. She was also wearing dark blue ripped jeans with small rhinestones along the brim of the rips. She then ran to her sister's room to wake her up, Alisa also got out of bed wearing a simple yellow sweater with sunflowers on it and white leggings.

Soon they got on the bus. On the bus Maddy saw three people biking to school, L-ing each other. Eventually the bus reached school, a bit early if not. She then saw a student biking up to her.

"Hey!" she called.

Maddy turned around to face one of the girls on the bikes.

"Are you Maddy?"

She nodded.

"Lovely," she said, taking off her helmet, "I'm Lotus and I'm your tour guide since you mainly picked the same classes as me."

Maddy nodded again, politely.

"These are my siblings," Lotus gestured to the two people behind her.

"Hi, I'm Ashwini," one of them greeted calmly, shaking her hand. She was wearing a light purple cropped turtleneck, a plaid blue jacket around her waist with black leather bootcut pants. She also had a moon and star earrings.

"HELLO!!!" the guy yelled, "I'M SAMUEL IT'S SO NICE TO MEET YOU! YOU SHOULD SIT WITH US IN LUNCH! WE CAN ADD YOU TO THE GROUP CHAT AND-"

"Okay that's enough out of you," another guy sighed, coming from behind.

"Ajay!" Lotus said, smiling and greeting him with a hug.

Ew. PDA. DISGUSTING.

"Eugh," Ashwini added, fake gagging.

"Get a room guys," another voice added. A girl with a simple white blouse, a plaid red poncho with a fur hood, jeans, and Harry Potter-esque glasses arrived. Maddy also noticed her flower pattern backpack had at least ten crochet mushroom keychains.

"This is Melody," Ashwini introduced

"I enjoy making torture weapons!" Melody said innocently.

"Uhm..." Maddy muttered, "great..."

"She's kidding, I swear." Lotus added

"No I'm not." Melody retorted.

"Can you guys shut up for ONE FUCKING SECOND." Maddy turned around to see who said that and the only person she saw was a kind of fugly Asian boy.

A second passed with no one saying anything.

"There. Happy, Jayden?" Melody yelled in the distance.

"Shut up," Jayden said, "FIGHT ME."

"Ha! WHAT A JOKE, you're so SHORT-" Melody chuckled.

"I'M TALLER THAN YOU!"

"WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO, KICK MY ANKLE???"

Jayden then promptly kicked her in the ankle, causing her to collapse dramatically and start fake-crying.

"Jeez, what happened to Melody," another girl came and asked.

"Oh hi Emily, Jayden kicked her really hard on the ankle."

Another boy then hit Emily hard in the back of her head. "Ali!"

The bell then promptly rang, causing Lotus to drag her to their first class, Math. Maddy heard "AH SHIT" from the hallway. In class, they didn't learn much, everything was way too fast and confusing.

When the fuck are we actually going to use this bullshit?

They then quickly rushed to Science, which was much more peaceful. They learned about light energy which was WAY more interesting than the sum of all the angles in a triangle. After Science was Engineering which Maddy learned to be a stress-packed class. She was honestly relieved it was over. Finally, it was Lunch time and Lotus was showing her where their friend group sat.

"Hi Maddy!" Alisa said. She was sitting next to a girl- Emily, she remembered. "Sit next to me!" Maddy sat next to Alisa, and Lotus sat down next to her. Ajay then scooched next to Lotus and kissed her on the cheek. She smiled happily.

"GET A ROOM," the group screeched collectively as Emily rolled dramatically into a ball.

"I will not hesitate to punch you both in the eye if you don't stop the PDA," Athena said casually.

"Uh hey," Michael said, coming from behind.

"Oh hello," Athena replied when no one else did.

"I just thought you looked really pretty today Athena." Michael muttered, looking at the ground and blushing.

"I'm sorry," Athena answered, "Do I know you?"

"Well, we're in the same class, and do you want to be my girlfriend?" he asked, tucking his imaginary hair behind his ear.

"ASHWINI! HELP ME!" Athena screamed, throwing the poor Indian girl, dying of laughter, in front of her.

"What do you say Athena? You and me?" Michael questioned.

By the time he finished the sentence, Athena was long gone, she had ran across the entire courtyard to get the fuck away from that man.

For the rest of the lunch, Maddy was trying to get a feel of everyone's personalities. It was quite easy since they were so open with one another.
