Spoilers for Monster hunter stories 2
Hey guys ! Sorry for this long absence but I've been more active on Tumblr lately (you can find the link in my bio).
In the meantime here's a little Oneshot that takes place during the events of Monster hunter stories 2.

Salut à tous ! Désolé pour cette longue absence mais j'ai été plus active sur Tumblr ces derniers temps (le lien est dans la description du compte).
Voici pour compenser un petite Oneshot qui prend place durant les événements de Monster hunter stories 2

Note : Mily et tout les monsties sont mes personnages. Ren (Cheval en anglais), Ena, Navirou, Ratha et toutes les espèces de monstres appartiennent à Capcom.

"Did... did we do it!?"
"I think so, Navirou." Ena answered.
"That was a close call, you did well, Mily." Cheval followed by looking at his fellow rider "Mily?"

She was just staring at the Nergigante they just fought : why was it acting this way? Was it hunting? An elder dragon was the cause of all of this? She had to figure it out. She put her weapons in the ground and got closer to the giant beast "Mily! Wait!" Cheval almost screamed as Ena grabbed his wrist and Navirou hopped on his shoulder.

They smiled, telling him there was nothing to worry about and seeing that Ratha was also calm, all he could do was watch. Mily walked slowly towards the beast, and kneeled in front of its snout : she looked so small, especially in front of an adult Nergigante. It opened its eyes and growled but she didn't move "Shhh... It's okay." She said softly, a hand in front of its mussel "Sorry for coming into your home, we just want to know what's been going on."

The reflection of her two colored eyes hypnotized the elder dragon who was about to let her touch it but its eyes narrowed, its spikes puffed and it growled. A red light was shining through the ground "Oh no, not again."

Ratha's cries got everyone's immediate attention "Oh no! No! No! No!" Mily started, panicked before her monstie took off "RATHA!" She yelled by running after him.
"Mily! You blockhead, come back here!" Cheval screamed out of spite before hopping on Rathi.

A blast of wind stopped him in his run : the Nergigante took off and went straight towards the red light. Cheval saw the look of terror on Ena's face "C'mon Ena, we gotta help our pawtner!" Navirou screamed.
"R-Right!"

Cheval took the skies and went straight in front of the Nergigante "Go Mily, you got this." He thought to himself.

Mily was still running after Ratha as the creature revealed itself "Ratha! Come back!"

The ground broke and she fell as her rathalos was going right into the deadly trap "RATHA! NOOO!" She yelled, so loud her voice resonated throughout the whole cave, before throwing herself right towards her monstie.

She managed to grab the saddle and was hanging with all the strength she had. Ratha was screaming, trying to be in control again but before she could even speak to him, the monster hit them both : Ratha was cast on the side and Mily was thrown in the air "MILY!" Ena yelled before grabbing her wrist just in time.

The young rider had lost consciousness, her shoulder was bleeding. Navirou ran to them and grabbed Ena's shoulder "Hold on buddy, I won't let go!"
"Guys look out!" Cheval screamed, stuck with Rathi between rocks as the Nergigante went right towards them.

However it wasn't interested in them, but in the worm monster. Its shrieks were so loud, the crystals were vibrating all around. All this noise snapped Mily back to reality "E... Ena?"
"Mily!? You're awake! Hold on!" She answered by pulling with all of her strength.

The young girl forced on her injured arm to grab on the wyverian's wrist : it was painful, as if something was eating her arm from the inside. Cheval ran straight to them and to pull her out as Ratha was distracting the worm creature with the help of the Nergigante who was thrown right against the cave's wall with so much strength, crystals started falling from the roof "Guys get out of here!" Mily screamed.
"Are you insane!?" Cheval yelled.
"Ratha! Get them out of here!"

The monstie listened to his rider and got them out forcing Ena to let go "NOOO!"

Crystals pierced her skin as the creature disappeared in the depth of the hole. But something else followed her. Before her three friends could get closer to the hole, the Nergigante was right in front of them with Mily dripping with blood between its giant paws. It put her on the ground, still holding her neck. She opened her eyes slowly : she first saw a big black spot in front of her with orange accents. As she lifted her head, she met the gaze of the Nergigante "You... You saved me." She said softly with a grin as the monster lowered its giant head to nuzzle her "Heh, that tickles." She giggled weakly.

Ratha didn't waste a second to rush to his injured rider followed by Naraku (Nargacuga), Kiba (Tigrex), Anja (Anjanath), Thor (Zinogre) and Arashi (Astalos). She soon found herself covered with worried monsties between the paws of an elder dragon "What... What are we looking at right now?" Cheval asked, completely mortified.
"I... just... what did I expect?" Ena sighed.
"Honestly!" Navirou finished "What are we going to do with her!?"

They all were so frustrated and yet so relieved that she was safe, somehow.
