Unfold:CH1:P2

  Early the next morning, Lex wakes up from the sound of her alarm. She turns over to see Kenya laying next to her, who quietly climbed in bed after her shift last night.

   Lex reluctantly rolls out of bed and begins to get dressed for the day. Upon getting ready, she goes into the kitchen to cook a small breakfast.

   As she finishes, Kenya walks in to scope out the food. The aroma is what convinced her to get out of bed.

   "Good morning" She greets Lex.

  "Hey you. Want some breakfast?" Lex asks in a humbled voice.

"Yeah, watcha got?" Before Lex could answer, Kenya came around and started fixing her plate.

"Well as you can see, there's eggs, bacon and waffles" Lex throws in.

After they prepare their plates, they sit down at the table to eat.

"What's your schedule like today babe?" Kenya asks, stuffing food in her mouth.

Without looking up, Lex responds. "Uh, I have history at 11 and I'm going to the hall at 2."

    Kenya takes a sip of her drink. "Oh, okay. I don't have class today but I'm working a double. I probably won't see you until later tomorrow."

    Lex looks up in disappointment. "What? I thought you said you were done with the doubles?"

   Kenya gets up to toss her plate. "I know I know, but they need me babe. Greg called in and there's no one else who can take his shift."

   Lex stares at her,  "So you took it?"

   "Um yeah, free hours. Plus I don't have a class today so why not?"

  Lex releases a deep sigh, "Whatever, you're gonna work yourself to death."

    "Maybe you can come to Kaymens tonight" Kenya sits on Lex's lap, wrapping her arms around her neck. "I'll buy you a drink, on the house." She smiles.

  Lex rubs her forehead. "Alright, fine. But I'm not staying long, you know how I feel about that place."

   Kenya jumps up in excitement. "Alright, so I'll see you tonight then! You know where my spot is." Kenya returns to their room to get dressed while Lex cleans up the kitchen and heads out the door.

  When she arrives at the school, she parks her car next to Jen's, whose pulling up at the same time.

   "Lex! You ready to get that work today?!" Jen yells from her car window.

   "C'mom Jen. I was born ready!" Lex yells back.

  Jen laughs. "Yeah, we'll see".

    As they get out of their cars, they start in the same direction to enter the building.

   "Where you off to this early?" Lex questions.

   "Oh I got Anatomy until 1." Jen replies. "You?"

   "Ah, I have history with Spindle."

  "Yikes, that guy lectures from the first day up until the last." Jen complains.

  "Yeah, so I've heard, but I'll see you when we get to the Hall."

   The two go their separate ways.

  As Lex gets closer to the History wing, she notices the same girl she ran into the morning before.

   "Ah, fuck." She whispers to herself. "This one's gonna get me killed, I just know it."
