Unfold:CH7:Pt.2

The next day, Mia and Lex viciously argue about Lex returning back to school. After Mia makes a few good points, she finally convinces Lex to go.

They get dressed and Lex packs up the books she needs for the day.

When they arrive to campus, everyone is pointing and staring at Lex making her extremely uncomfortable. After all, she is the talk of the news.

Lex walks straight into the administration office to re-enroll herself into Mr. Spindle's history class. Mia waits for her just outside the door. Then they walk to class together.

About ten minutes after class has begun, Lex watches Mia from across the room as she discretely takes her phone out. From what Lex can see, she sends out a text message.

Mr. Spindle catches her and scolds her. "Put AWAY the device and pay attention Ms. Noles."

Mia does as he says and quickly puts the phone back into her pocket.

Twenty minutes later, in the middle of the lecture, there's a ferocious knock on the door. It catches everyone's attention. Mr. Spindle goes to open the door and three officers walk in.

"Do you have a person by the name of Alexis Latimore in this classroom?" One of the officers asks, as he looks around the room.

Lex looks up, but doesn't respond.

Mr. Spindle points to her direction and she hesitates to stand up.

One of the officers walks over behind her.. "Are you Ms. Latimore?"

Lex attempts to run towards the emergency exit near the back of the classroom but the officer tackles her to the floor. She tries to put up a fight. His knee comes down on her back, he grabs her arms and handcuffs them, clenching down tighly on her wrists.

"You are under arrest for the attempted murder of Lonnie Wilkerson. You have the right to remain silent and anything you say or do can and will be held against you in the court of law."

The officer demands her to stand up. He walks he out of the classroom. Mia jumps up and runs after them, screaming and begging for them to release her. As if she really cares.

Mr. Spindle calls her back into the classroom.

The officers are practically forced to drag Lex down the hallway and outside. She's thrown in the back of the police car and the door slams behind her.

They've made a scene for all the students who were in the hallway and outside of the building.

They drive off to the penitentiary.

After hours of being held, Lex is booked into the system and released into the general population of the prison.

She's then allowed to make one phone call, and of course, she calls Mia. She dials the number and as the phone rings, she can see someone walk up to the phonebooth next to hers, from the corner of her eye.

Mia answers the phone.. "Hello?"

Lex holds the phone tightly against her ear. "Mia! It's Lex. I need you to get.."

Before she could finish, the person next to her says her name with a voice all too familiar.

"Lex?"..

Lex turns around and faces Terri. She drops the phone.

"Lex, why are you in here?" Terri asks.

Lex's face turns red. "What the fuck, why are YOU in here? I thought you left town!"

Terri looks just as confused as Lex. "What? No! Why would I do that?"

Lex grabs the phone and hangs it up.
