On the way to the station, Terri calls one of her employees and explains what's about to happen. She asks her to confirm her alibi if the police calls.
After she's questioned, she's sent into the lobby to wait for her release. But after 45 minutes of waiting, Terri is called into an office. The door has a name plate over it reading "Sheriff Steven R. Noles".
Terri walks in and sits down.
"Ms. Henderson, I have an eye witness here today who may be able to identify the person who did this. I'm gonna need you to participate in a line-up, so if you could just sign.."
Terri jumps out of her chair and cuts him off. "A line-up!? Sir, I was not apart of this crime."
He looks at her and then down at the paper. "Well if your story checks out, you can go. But if you're picked out in this line-up I'm gonna have to book you into the system to await your trial."
Terri's eyes widen and her face falls pale. " What.. the.. Fuck.. My trial!? What about my alibi? I can't go to jail for something I didn't do."
The officer slides the paper across his desk and in front of Terri. "Could you fill out this form and sign the bottom, please."
Terri takes a deep breath and does as he says.
After she signs, he escorts her into a room along with the other participants. She's assigned to number 4 in the line-up.
"Fall in line" An officer yells out to the potential suspects. Terri walks behind the people in front of her in an orderly fashion.
They end up in a tight, enclosed space. Facing frontward against the back wall. After they stand there for a few minutes, the anonymous person standing behind the window clarifies the suspect.
"Number four. That's the girl." -Anon.
Terri is removed from the room and is read her rights. She is then arrested and taken into custody for booking.
Meanwhile, Lex is at the house gathering her things to get ready to leave. She's freaked out because Terri isn't answering her calls.
"She should be back by now." Lex says to herself.
She waits a few more minutes and then she calls Mia. The phone rings and rings. "C'mon, pick up." Lex mumbles.
"Hello?" Mia Finally answers.
"Hey, um Mia? It's Lex. Are you home?" She asks in a soft voice.
"No, actually I'm not but I'm on my way there now. I had to take care of something. What's up?"
Lex hesitates. "I.. I was wondering.. If I could stay with you, just for a few days. Until this all clears up. I won't be any trouble."
"Of course you can." Mia responds quickly.
"Terri was supposed to drop me off but she hasn't come back home yet." Lex says looking out the window.
"Well I can swing by there and get you, if you get me the address it'll be no problem."
Lex smiles. "Thank you so much, I'll text it to you now."
"Alright then, see you in a few." Mia hangs up the phone.
Lex sends her the text with Terri's address. She has no idea that Mia already knows where the place is.
Lex sits down and waits. Then she goes outside and waits some more. Finally, Mia pulls up in the driveway.
Lex walks around to the passenger side and gets in the car. Mia greets her with a kiss. "You got everything?" She asks, watching as Lex throws her bags in the back seat.
