Finding a dress for a date was way harder than i thought , I've never been nervous about my outfits before today , my first official date in ten freaking years , i had several dates before of course , but it didn't work out
After entering almost every store our eyes landed on , i ended up buying a strapless cherry red dress , pointed-toe T strap black heels . Then Jade and i entered a restaurant to have lunch
We started talking about Kayden and our date for the night , she even asked me if what i was doing is right , after spending ten years of loathing and wishing to strangle him for thinking that he hurt me that way

After making up my mind about the date's location , i made calls about the service that we shall be provided with . Everything had to be perfect , she deserves it , we both do
A knock on my office's door brought me back to reality , after i said ' come in ' , the door was opened and revealed Adam , i could think of only one reason for him to show up here
Trying to act cool and indifferent , i put a smile on my face and sat back as i looked up at him and welcomed him ;" Adam , what a lovely surprise " i said and he lightly smiled back at me ;" you've been gone for a while " i remarked and he nodded as he sat in front of me
" i needed time—- and space from here for a while" he stated which made me wonder why would he need that ? What went wrong ? Did it have to do anything with Audrey ? Speaking of her I needed to make somethings clear to him
" why ? Everything's alright?" I cooly asked and he shrugged ;" never mind , by the way where's Audrey ? I haven't seen her for a while " he asked , changing the subject ;" Audrey's taking a little break , she's had a little accident " I stated and Adam's eyes went wide out of shock
" w-what ! Why didn't you tell me ? Is she alright ? What hospital is she in right now ?" He asked randomly as he got up , ready to drive to her when I tell him where she is , but what I said next , probably shocked him
I also got off of my chair and started to walk to him , in a slow pace ;" she's alright , she's in my house" He was speechless , he let out a nervous chuckle as he blinked ;" y-your house ? Why ?" He asked and I rubbed my chin , walked closer to him
" look Adam , Audrey and I share a history , a big misunderstanding happened back then but now it's resolved , and now we're trying to catch up on what we missed from each other—" I said as I fixed his tie , he just stood there watching me
" I'm glad you two are getting along with each other , but please don't take the wrong idea " I added and leaned closer to his ear and whispered ;" she's mine"
