In the next morning , after having breakfast , Audrey's sister , Vivian has already took off to the salon , as for us , I decided to take Audrey to my family's house , there will be a stylist and a dressing team waiting for us
Ready to present Audrey all kind of magnificent dresses so she could pick the one she likes the most , but that wouldn't matter cause i was sure anything would suit her
Our house was on the other side of the city , with the traffic we would be there in one hour and half , if i was fast enough
" what's your mother like ?" Audrey suddenly asked , i shrugged , just like Audrey , I didn't know my mother very well either , before the divorce , my father was the one who tried spending a lot of time at home , but my mother didn't bother, she wanted to focus on her acting career
And it worked , good for her
" well , she does remember to call me and check on me , so she's not that bad " i told her and her smile barely reached her cheek ;" you're lucky, mine only sends one message the entire year , and that would be on my birthday " she said and i felt sorry for her , her mother was definitely worse than mine
Mine was at least considerate , she didn't marry someone else , she dates people yes but never got married again , it must be hard for Audrey thinking that her mother replaced her by a new man and his children
I grabbed her hand and planted a kiss on it , with a smile on my face i tried to comfort her

After arriving to the house , Audrey's eyes widened at the sight of our grey villa , overlooking the see , i have to admit it was a nice house , the best view would be at night
" wow , this is so beautiful" Audrey exclaimed , i held her hand and led the way inside ;" is this where your mother is hosting the party ?" She asked as we walked to the living room
" no , she has an apartment in the city centre " i told her . After the divorce , both of my parents got their own place , leaving me with this one on the beach , if we wanted to have a family gathering , we would meet in some restaurant , my father would rent the entire floor in case he and my mother ended up fighting again
" Kayden , my sweet boy , how are you ?" Our family's stylist , Ellen West greeted me once we reached the living room , she pulled me into a little hug and rubbed my hair , she always do that
Ellen have been my stylist since forever , my mother never chose my clothes for occasions , like school , family gatherings or a company event , Ellen did
" Ellen this is my girlfriend that i told you about , Audrey , this is Ellen , our stylist for the night " I introduced the ladies to each other and they shake hands ;" nice to meet you Audrey , i have to say I'm a bit surprised you introduced one of your girlfriends to us " Ellen said and I stiffened

It was true i never brought any girl to the city , let along introduce her to the family , just like Audrey who never brought a guy to her home as well

After choosing my suit for the night , I sat on the couch , and Audrey was in the nearest guest room trying on the dresses Ellen brought her , apparently everything suited her , but Ellen wasn't totally convinced , i was confused on who should be convinced , her or Audrey ? But they were having fun in there and there was still a long time for the hour of the party
