"You're going down Uematsu!"
Nanami looked like he might be sick. "I didn't agree to this."
"You'll be fine," Kaede assures him. "Just hold on."
Gojo Satoru and Uematsu Kaede each stood by the starting line with their respective shopping carts. Sitting inside of them was Geto Suguru and Kento Nanami. Mariko was nearby, ready to signal the start, while Shoko and Haibara waited at the finish line.
"I want a clean race," Mariko announces. "Whoever wins this will officially be deemed 'Jujutsu High's fastest' for the school year."
"No Limitless or anything like that," Kaede clarifies. "Feet on the ground the whole time."
"I don't need it," Gojo scoffs. "You two just get ready to stare at the back of Suguru and I's heads."
"Their trash talk needs some serious work," Haibara whispers to Shoko.
"Honestly, Gojo's improved," Shoko says. "You should have heard what he used to say when he and Geto would argue last year."
"On your marks," Mariko says.
Instantly, Kaede and Gojo's shoes dig a little deeper into the ground. Adrenaline begins to seep into their blood.
"Get set.... go!"
The exact moment Mariko signals the start, Kaede and Gojo have taken off at a speed invisible to the naked eye. The entire field begins to cloud with dust tracking beneath the cart and their shoes.
Within less than a second, Kaede and Gojo are at the finish line with their shopping carts. Each of them reeled onto their knees, panting.
Suguru smooths his hair and hops out of the cart, but Nanami is still clutching his cart's sides. His face has gone paler, if possible, "What.... on.... earth," he mutters, hair completely swept back.
"Well?" they urge Shoko and Haibara.
They glance at one another, then simultaneously say, "Kaede-chan."
Kaede is completely ecstatic. She grabs Nanami by the shoulders, "Didn't I tell you we'd be fine?"
Gojo folds his arms and pouts. "I still don't think she's the fastest."
"Want to go again?" Kaede says.
"Please no," Nanami begs.
