"Hey there" Lucas said to the receptionist trying to sound sly.
She just gave him a 'I'm too tired for this' look. "No"
He looked at her confused
"You can't visit Maxine, not until it returns to visiting hours"
"I wasn't-
"Your friend was just gonna sneak in while you "distract" me, is that right?" She says noticing El lingering around Max's door.
Lucas opens his mouth to try and deny it, but the woman just stares at him as if unspokenly saying 'who do you think you're fooling?'
Lucas just sighs and walks over to El "come on El"
"But-
"Trust me" Lucas whispers as he leads El out.
Eleven looks confused but she does trust him, so she follows.

Nancy managed to sort of convince Mike El isn't cheating. but as he hears his mother ask Nancy and Robin boyfriend questions, he starts to wonder if it even matters if she is cheating. cuz in his opinion she hasn't been being a very good girlfriend either way.
He gets that Max is her friend and she's in a coma, she's his friend too. but are you even in a relationship if you don't get to do the things people who are together do? or even so much as see each other?. At least he tried, he visited her in California even.
Mike's mind keeps flowing more rapidly with these questions as his fork tosses around his dinner.

"Did everyone know about this flame but me?" El asks as Lucas's idea was to get Hopper since he's noticed during his many hospital visits, that the receptionist couldn't seem to resist the sparks of her old flame.
"Pretty much.. except Joyce.. don't tell Joyce." Hopper replies, she's from before him and Joyce were together, or even friends really. but he doesn't want any drama in his relationship, what with how much he has to see the woman thanks to El.
Hopper continues "So you gonna tell me why you're dragging me in there again?"
"It was Lucas this time actually.."
feeling as though he's not gonna get a reply, he mumbles "Alright let's get this over with" as his hand reaches the hospital door and his feet leave the parking lot pavement onto white tile.
